All-New: Type 81M

I saw it like that at the range. Once shouldered, ZERO fawking difference.

I guess some of these redditors in here paid for a Chevette expecting a Corvette.

many new to the hobby fail to realize the commiepewpews are throwaways. Oh no my handguard is scratched from the folding stock Laugh2

I hate thinking how i spent 700 dollars more a few years ago & was able to stretch out to 980 yards with that money. oh well. I bought this to recreate one photo and then after its brutality testing time, How much lead till failure ;)

Also anyone reading from LMG days, the parts kits from then works with this ;)

100% agree with your comment.

TI have always been fantastic in their customer support, but this is a shiat show they didn't expect. The popularity of something a lot people wanted that they brought in, and then this.

Gotta be a massive headache and a big hit on their rep.

Without a doubt a headache, But hey, Local vendors to me have said otherwise about these boys and girls. What about the last vender deal these guys did? We wanna talk about that? My local gun store refuses to deal with TI because the last time they vender sold items they dropped their prices right after and fubar'd the store for profit. Wasn't just one store either. I was ready to drop some serious $$ and they basically said your better off doing it yourself direct.. But let's not talk that.

this is the closest thing we shall see to a "cheap" commie gun with aesthetic appeal & you will get a few birds who dislike the fact they bought a banana shaped lead slingshot.

At least you guys can shoot your banana sticks, I had to send mine back and who knows how long it will take to get a replacement, I would have been grateful for a slightly bent one lol.

The problem is that TI wont do right by most of us. I wouldnt be surprise if this rifle is barely meeting the threshold to be consider out of spec.

So when they say that pass shipment had only a 0,05% return rate its because nobody is meeting their insanely high criteria, and that is whitout taking into account those who dont initiate claim and just end up selling their rifle.

I would really like to know how much deviation is being measure on this unit.

I sent TI and email, PM on this forum and on FB 0 response.

If mine arrives bent at all Ill dispute the charge with my credit card company and get a full refund, TI's description of the Type 81 does not inform the buyer of potential of misaligned barrels. For $1500 I want a straight rifle.

I can't help but wonder if a couple of minutes and a shop press might not fix a "bent" rifle...

I would be worried about elongating the rivet holes in the receiver, whats worse than a misaligned rifle? A wobbly one lol

Tig weld the holes in and re drill them in right spot. worst case scenario if a return isn't warranted. Depends on the persons ability tho.

Properly applied pressure could bring the barrel into alignment. Rivets and their holes would not be affected.
Obviously an exchange for a correct rifle is the way to go. If I were to acquire a "bent" one at a a great discount, it is something I would try.
About the only thing TI can do with out of spec returns is to strip them for parts.

Trying to true the barrel to reciever is only going to warp the reciever and probably stretch the rivets so theyll come loose quickly.

Might, might not. Depends how force is applied. Apart from breaking it for parts, what is an out of alignment rifle good for?

Baseball.

Let them bend them, I need spare parts. So do you.

For the love of ####, if you think bending the rifle will fix it please forfeit the thing over before it’s actually spare parts.
