All-New: Type 81M

Also after all this as I'm still waiting for pick up on Tuesday for my underfolder, I decided to do the "bend" test in my 2021 SE OR folder.

Lol it's 2.1mms to the right, I never noticed by eye before but can see it now.

Most all of these are bent , just gotta decide what you are comfortable living with.

These M models are the most frequent and extrem of any 81 shipments though

Exactly, theres no mags on the market I have some if no one else is selling them I'm setting the price the highest price I think someone will pay

What these guys dont understand is the market is what ever someone is willing to pay.. that's why a svt40 is now 1500 instead of 400.

The market went up on M1 garands to a crazy 3gs for an Italian breda lol until ppl said no and it got over saturated and they are back down to 1800 to 2gs.

It's usually the poor that #####, I've made a great side deal flipping milsurps and if you check my ratings it's always been straight up and full disclosure.

It's not my fault ppl don't know the market or follow it and know how to sell.

Hell I sold a 800 glockenspiel 19x for 1800 2 weeks after the handgun ban.

Vendors were out and I set the price.. don't want it don't buy it.. easy peasy

I've been doing the same thing with Type 81s and mags, started buying up as many SIGMACO parts as I could and some extra Type 81s. Can't wait to resell at 100-200% markup in a couple of months. Gonna just keep doing this as long as I can there's so much money in it. I've got like 5-10k worth of stuff I bought just for reselling

100% brother... #### em. This forum is mostly boomers which is rich as they are the kings of inflation.

You never run into this stuff on other gun pages.

You can call me a scalper, a piece of crap lol I'm still making money. Sorry you're not ahaha.

Cheers buddy

Like I said, it takes money to make money. Most of the ppl crying are those that are not into a place to buy up stock or inventory.

I work hard and it's not my fault I've made better life decisions to allow me to do what I do .. sorry not sorry

I've always followed and will follow CGN rules, I'm not doing anything wrong.

Exactly, I saved up as much money as I could and am now investing in gun parts and accessories. They hate us because they ain't us. Feck em. Though they kinda have a point with the mags I am 100% doing some predatory stuff there and I am fully aware that TI is bringing in more mags. But they could be too, if they don't want to wait a few months I can supply the mags they need

I took my underfolder to the range for the first time yesterday. Probably about 250-300 shots through her. It shot great! Didn't check for MOA but I kept them all on target at 50 yards. Not a single failure of any kind, and I actually found the underfolder to chin weld nicely and was comfortable for me (with a jacket on). Just thought I'd post my positive experience with the 81M and sorry to those having issues.

I received my T81M underfolder yesterday and found that the barrel slightly points to the right.

I am fairly new to the firearm and not sure how serious this issue can be. Is there an easy way to measure the offset? Should I ask TI for an exchange or return?

Thanks.

If you are running a business selling guns do you have a BFL? are you claiming the money on your taxes? You sure you are following all of the laws/regulations?

Unless you’ve never sold something for profit, received a tip, done a cash job and then not claimed capital gains or income tax this is the kettle calling the pot black. Shall we keep the thread on topic?

This is the same as asking the guy on Kijiji if he’s provincially licensed and registered to sell cars, since he has 3 for sale. Lol

If you’ve ever sold a gun for more than what you paid (which most anyone has) you have an obligation to claim capital gains or business income depending on the situation. How many people on EE or GP do you think have done this?

I
Wouldn’t want to be in a situation where you are running a de-facto business re-selling guns and don’t have a BFL.

People claiming to buy 10 rifles with the sole purpose of reselling them .., what is that if it’s not a business?

If they are following the law there will be a record of every transfer if sold to ten different buyers when the calls are made to confirm PAL’s.

1 or 100 does not matter in the eyes of the law.

You are very very wrong. 1-100 does matter lol.

Use this method to measure the barrel deviation: https://youtu.be/pz11mKx9Y2k?si=GJBidOsKoStSYes4

You can also quickly gauge if your barrel is actually bent via field stripping the rifle, and looking down the muzzle for the cleaning rod hole at the rear of the reciever. If the hole is centered, your rifle's barrel is not offset or it's minimal. If the hole is noticeably to one side or the other, it's likely offset.

TI's currently stated spec for these 81Ms is no more than 4mm of deviation with the previously mentioned measuring test.

As for it causing issues, if the barrel is too severely bent, it can cause zeroing issues. If it's "within spec", iron sight zeroing should still be possible, but optic zeroing may be problematic. The rifle should otherwise still function fine. I strongly recommend you read your owners manual to familiarize yourself with the rifle, but there are two things to pay attention to:

- the gas regulator. There are 3 settings, 1 for normal, 0 for complete shutoff, and 2 for adverse. For the vast majority of your shooting, this should be set to 1. 0 was intended for rifle grenade usage on the original rifle model and 2 is only if the rifle starts having cycling issues on 1 and/or is severely fouled. You can use the base of a 7.62x39mm cartridge or casing to adjust the gas setting.

- the iron sights. The rear sight has numbers from zero to 5. Each number between one and 5 corresponds to that distance in hundreds of meters (i.e. 1 = 100m, 2 = 200m and so on). The 0 setting is only to be used to remove and replace the gas piston cover, and can be accessed via going to the 1 setting, then pulling the rear sight nob on the left side out and then rotating it to the 0 setting. On both sides of the rear sight, there is a divet that the nunber is supposed to line up with. This is designed so that the shooter from the iron sight level can see the number setting from your normal sight picture. Also, to actually zero the sights, all adjustment is done at the front sight. Windage via screwing or unscrewing the front sight post up or down, and windage via unscrewing the large screw at the back of the front sight, drifting the whole tower left or right on the dovetail, and then tightening it down again. The included tool kit should include the little wrench neccesary for this task.

Hope this helps!
