All-New: Type 81M

Apparently sigamaco was involved with the Atomwaffen Division and no matter what way you look at it those guys are Nazis. Based on this I can’t see why it’s not fair comment to state that due to sigmaco being a Nazi it screwed up the supply of his T81 accessories.

Not to worry, with our liberal justice system being what it is, he’ll be out and hopefully back in business in no time.

I have rifles made by *actual* Nazi and I think that owning a PRC made rifle is just as bad. Very sad. Couple Mosin made by Stalin too.

If TI won't swap for a straight rifle then he has every right to do a chargeback. TI is not up front about these rifles being bent. They made up their own "within spec". A chargeback is easy as the customer is not recieving what's being advertised. That's enough to be a scammer in the eyes of most credit card companies.

I am telling you that no cc company will do a chargeback on warranty issues.

You may want to also read TI conditions of sale before dreaming up something. You know the small box you click before submitting your order. Basically TI decides what is considered a defective product, not you. IF he considers it defective (this is a big IF), then he can chose how to make it right.

As to the scalper thing It is what it is, nothing new or original despite the boomer comments and attitude shown by some....

Exactly. If someone thinks selling something for 2x what was paid is unethical price gouging, then almost every business is unethical by that standard. If market value is 2k, then that item is worth 2k regardless of whether you paid 1k or 3k. If you try to sell something for 10k when market value is 2k, that would be more in line with what price gouging is, at least by my view.

And even then, to those criticizing the opportunists: if someone was willing to knowingly overpay you for something, would you decline and tell them you want to find someone who will pay less??

Your sig line about not trusting the feds due to sky cams is kind of funny when you freely discuss your side hussles on line for all to see..... :)

As to the scalper thing It is what it is, nothing new or original despite the boomer comments and attitude shown by some..... I'd like to see less tax grabs and more freedom down the road but I wouldn't be surprised to see more tax grabs announced with the new budget..... probably aimed at "the rich" or capitalists out there who just want to make money and grow their wealth.

Eh for me it's more the fact I'm well under what would probably require a BFL which is why I mostly deal in accessories. I've taken a good look at the law well enough to protect my interests and simply put there is nothing illegal about my actions, the feds can look all they want. There's nothing interesting about some random student in Alberta reselling crap. with how large my collection is and how relatively few guns I sell a year there is no running a business. Just seeing an oppurtunity to invest in some rifles to resell at a later date. No different then speculative stock trading. At least not in legal terms, and I actually do claim it on my taxes, since my income is otherwise 0 I get it all back anyway.

If you are running a business selling firearms you need a BFL - this is different than the tax implications.

If you are buying ten of the same gun from the same dealer to resell at a profit there is a good argument you are running a business.

Try harder to understand.

THat's why I mainly deal in accessories then actual guns. With the amount of guns I bought to resell being wayyyy lower then 10. Don't you worry I'm staying low enough to where it would be hard to convince that I'm running a business. To me this is no different then buying and selling stocks. I could very easily lose a lot of money doing this just as much as I hope to gain

why is everyone trying to Justify why they purchased something? Its Nobody's Business... its a hobby..

Range report.

Ive shot about 300 round of cheap corrosive chinese surplus from my crooked 81. Zero malfuction.
At 100 yard mine was shooting 6 inch to the left, and 8 inch high. I forgot to bring the tool kit so I wasnt able to adjust the front sight.
Cant speak on accuracy since my sight was so off and im not particularly proficien with this kind of sight.
Mine is a folder and I had zero issue or discomfort shooting standing. Im a 5'9" 175lbs.
Surprisingly I was having difficulty holding a stable position while prone. Usually with this kind of rifle I dig my mag into the ground and can get super stable but the stock was falling low between my arm and body and when shooting was slinding under my arm pit. Mind you I was not laying on a even surface and had to raise my torso a bit, this would bot have been an issue with the fixed stock.

Overall im still piss that mine is crooked but they are fun and reliable.

300 rounds and you couldnt zero? waste of ammo IMO
youll enjoy it more when you dial it in..

At 25 yard this wasnt an issue. After moving back I simply hold my sight bottom right and I was bang on. Aint gonna waste a range day like that. And as for ammo I still have a few crate left so it really dosent bother me.

Good report on ergonomics and reliability. Thanks for sharing

Judgey much? Seems to be the theme on this thread…judge, chastise and berate others instead of having constructive on-topic conversation.

Just a tip really, higher training value for ammo expenditure with a zeroed rifle. Aiming off just isn't best practice IMO. YMMV.
I recommend the same to all my pals when they are eager to break out the new kit and shoot without an optic (or zeroing) to function test..
I actually didn't know the cleaning kit had a wrench for the sight block I just pack a socket wrench from my tool case..
..now that I look at the cleaning kit, seems theres a front sight adjustment tool as well, pretty cool they come with them I had no idea lol.
Having zeroed 5-6 of these I find it pretty straight forward to do so and always surprisingly accurate - including on my new type 81M.
mind my 81M front sight block is drifted almost all the way to the left, the exact position seems more or less random between rifles.
All good.

Assuming your rear sight was set for the 100m setting, push sight tower to the left about a mm or so for the windage, do at least 2 full turns of the front sight post counterclockwise with the front sight tool. Shoot again to confirm zero. Adjust as neccesary. Done.

Does anyone know if you can convert the US Palm AK magazines to work with type 81? I know you
Can convert other AK mags but I notice the US palms have that extra ridge / material
On the side, wondering if anyone has converted one of these, I have not been able to find a video or anything for the US palm mags specifically.

Do you guys do anything or have any ideas to dull or replace the pitch black paint on these without causing damage or compromising the steel?

I'm looking to turn it into a classic AK look, and I don't think the pitch black paint is good looking

Thanks

I stripped off some of the paint on my bolt carrier in a place where you'd never see it, but it just revealed a phosphate finish unsurprisingly. You will probably need to sand or bead blast it and polish it. No idea why this batch has a black carrier.
