Ruger Gold Label buttstock swap question

Does any one own both an English stocked and a pistol grip stocked gold label? I’m curious if one style can be swapped for the other. Or had anyone done this? I would expect the tangs to be shaped differently but possibly not

I have not looked closely at Gold Labels but typically it is a long trigger guard tang on a straight stock and a short and curved trigger guard tang on a pistol grip or POW.

My guess is that it would be a straight swap.
- the Red Label trigger guard doesn't extend past action

With double guns, its never a straight swap. The stock will more than likely need to be fitted to get a perfect mating surface.

the gold label will be straight swap no tang no inletting it is a cnc made gun investment casting made with modern production techniques
the straight grip "english" style stock conforms to the pistol grip style mounting configuration
nice guns very over rated
