All-New: Type 81M

FYI for orders not shipped in line:
-Some orders with problems such as PAL address mis-match, delayed payments are not able to proceed to next steps until fixed
-We temporarily had the AB warehouse run out of slings and slant brakes, there was a 7-14 day delay as we had to transfer more units to AB
-Some orders fell by the wayside, we have identified and marked for urgent processing
-Some orders had an internal label issue, this has been identified and marked for urgent processing

We understand it has been an unbearably long wait, but please understand this shipment is 4x larger then any previous T81 shipment. We were also not expecting such a strong response, especially after the lukewarm SR release and slow LMG sales, we were figuring the CAD market might have started to get it's fill for T81. Even if we did anticipate the response, hiring more staff for a short term spike doesn't make much sense from a business standpoint.

We are making solid progress, and estimate be fully caught up (ie no delay to newly placed orders) within the next 7-10 days. Thank-you all for your patience and understanding :)

There are orders after mine that are shipping, how can I make sure my order hasn't "fallen by the wayside"?

I had no payment/pal issues and I've had a rcmp email in my inbox for a couple weeks. Thanks

Ordered the day that these were released…rcmp email almost a month ago. No issues with pal or cc info.. I guess I’m 1 that “fell to the wayside”

Was your rifle actually sitting at the post office? TI not providing a tracking number is one thing, but did CP not notify you either? :/

CP usually leaves a "card" (notice) on my door when they miss a delivery and I have to pickup at the PO. But, not the case this time around - no card left. So, I had no idea it was shipped either from Canada Post or TI.

Luckily, the PO was holding the rifle for pickup until the 24th. So I figured it out in time, but still a bit of an annoyance when TI could have just sent the shipping email.

I'm happy to report that my fixed stock rifle looks pretty good! I haven't shot it yet, so function check will come later. The only small issue I notice is the wood under the handguard is chipped. But it's really minor, so I'm still pretty happy. My barrel doesn't look bent according to my naked eye, but I haven't actually measured it because I just don't care that much.

hey guys, chill out and relax like my little buddies on the couch.

I recieved a fixed stock rifle that was bent more than 4mm and also the rear sight adjustment is broken.
Henry told me there are no fixed stocked replacements and that I just have to wait until the next shipment(which could be up to a year) and I'm just completely crushed. Why didn't you keep anything back for warranty/replacements?

Did they offer to refund you?

Yes they did but that's not really the point. I placed my order within the first hour of listing and recieved a messed up gun while others recieved perfect rifles. Now I'm out a rifle that I was very excited for and won't have a chance to own one until a year from now. Sure I'll get my money back but I that doesn't solve the problem.

Complete BS if you ask me. I feel for you. Lots of people who bought multiple to resell and make $$$ get straight ones and all you wanted was one for yourself and get screwed because tactical imports doesn't care. Any respectable business should have kept a few for circumstances like this, or even better checked each gun before it went out.

Yeah it's incredibly frustrating knowing people bought 10 of them just to resell at a heavily inflated price and had no issues with their guns. I was so stoked to finally own one of these rifles, I'm a very limited budget and had to plan ahead/penny pinch to buy one haha. I've heard great things about their customer service in the past when it came to replacement rifles but I guess they just stopped caring or didn't plan ahead with this order.

Anyone having issues taking off the upper handguard? My rifle is bent but not bent enough for TI, but to take off the upper handguard I has to unscrew the lower one, flip the rifle over and push down on the upper. Is my #### so bent that it would cause the issue? Got a 2.5mm right bend.

The bend shouldn't cause any issues with the upper handguard. Do you have the rear sight knob in the correct position?

Yep. And yet some people defending them for their lack of service still. Saying “They are a business, their goal is to make profits”.

You get a bent gun that they can’t/wont fix after they take your money, delay your order because they screwed up, and then not update you about anything unless you ask them. Sure you can get your money back but what a total waste of time. For the people’s who are misaligned like 3mm it’s a waste of time AND money.

What we could really use is some competition in the space. Squeeze a little. Competition breeds greatness.

Brutal dude. I am sorry.

This shows greed/profits priority over service. If you (TI) had literally thousands of these guns don’t you think it would be a good business decision to keep a few known good examples for spares/warranty/parts as needed??

Piss poor experience that a guy who jumped on it and ordered first doesn’t get to have the product. Think this experience is going to result in repeat business?

Did you read this thread at all? There are clearly enough people on here who are prepared to be abused and taken financial advantage of, and continue to excuse unethical business practices. With such loyal following of suckups TI doesn't have to offer good customer service, or quality control, or anything for that matter. They know that their fan base will buy up whatever stock they have one way or another, and that includes scalpers. Why bother processing 10 different orders to 10 different guys when you can cut down a bunch of admin process and sell 10-20 units to a single purchaser to flip on GP?
