Hello Gents,

There I was on icollector.com today, perusing the upcoming auction of firearms.

There were a fair number of handguns, both in prohib and restricted status. Needless to say,
we law-abiding firearms owners cannot have further access to handgun purchases at this time. I saw a nice
Inglis Hi Power DIAMOND listed, and it stated that "This is a restricted firearm and can only be sold
to exempted individuals under the new firearms legislation, other businesses, export, deactivated for a fee
of $250, or stripped and sold without the frame for an additional $95 fee."

However......... it went on to state, "Should you wish to purchase this we can transfer this to our business
inventory and store it for you until the gun laws (hopefully) change. You will be charged $15 + HST
per month storage."

Bear in mind that the previous paragraph only applies to handguns of a Restricted status. Prohibs listed for
auction do not include this paragraph in their sales information.

So, those interested in paying the bid price plus commission and taxes, may roll the dice and pay about
$17 a month to keep the gun untouched and in the auction house storage facility, until there be a change in
federal government (October 2025).... hoping that Pierre will implement a new policy that will return to us
the ability to legally purchase firearms with restricted firearms status.

My take on it , the way and speed parliament runs , I figure min 5 yrs , if lucky, so about $1000.oo in storage , plus that gun will sell HIGH.
What happens if the regulations don't change, how long would the co. want to be looking after HG and paying insurance on them, It will be store stock so They have to pay insurance , security, Business Fees, 15/ month an't going to cut it.
How long would you pay for a gun you may never get?

BTW I seen one of those , as new unfired in the white yrs ago , a Collector had one , Long passed on now. I should have bought it, way too cheap.
 
Yes let's all store our handguns with one of the retailers that took the 20 pieces of silver. SFRC was my main store but they won't be getting another dime of my money.

Whatcha gonna do about it if you can't take possession of your property?


This scheme should be handy for SFRC when the buyback BS finally happens - they will already have a headstart on the handover

Sorry no sale there. Same building/physical address. Judas promotes it. Why would he promote it, allow a competitive firearms business to share his building without some sort of a stake. Supporters of lieberal gun control while also claiming to support and profit from us. These folks already have $700k of our tax dollars, don't need my business. That's just me, I don't support businesses that hate me.
 
It seems that if the "rent" goes up past $15, then your only alternative to paying it, is to have it deactivated (for $250 plus tax, and about a three month wait for it to be a welded lump of steel).

I'm the estate executor of a friend (who's about to be 89), and he has a mixed collection of restricted and prohibs. I can see me taking possession, but will I be forced to dump them on a dealer/deactivator/smelter, sooner rather than later?

As an executor you can hold onto those firearms for a "reasonable" period of time without transferring them.
Whats the definition of reasonable? Until the handgun laws change? Who knows!
I "held" my dads restricteds for 8 years as executor and never heard a peep from the gun cops

Okay, but how do propose to advertise them for sale when the time comes if you cannot even divulge what sort of prohib they are??? Honestly curious... as I have never heard an Executor say that before.

Businesses CAN still buy handguns, So he is offering to transfer the handgun into his business which is legal and store it for you because it is illegal to transfer a handgun to a person. When the Conservatives get elected and reverse the gun ban then the business will transfer the stored gun in their name from the business to you which will then be legal

Not sure how that is bad or confusing
