Desert Eagle Purchase...

Get a real 50 cal. magnum, a 500 S&W, leave the 50AE for the ladies, oops just remembered that you are at RMC, maybe you should get the 50AE.:p;)

The thing I noticed more than recoil was the torque - the gun definitely twists hard.(It kicks hard too, but you're expecting that)

Apparently the .44 Magnum has more felt recoil than the .50AE.

I don't recall that when I shot them back to back with a quick barrel switch. 50AE definitely had more OOMPH than the 44.

The 50AE is a popgun in comparison to the 500 S&W.

Oh okay, well that makes sense. Yeah no experience on this (which is why I said "apparently"), I just found it on the Chuck Hawks site so was looking for verification.

Hey guys,

so ive decided im gonna be generous and give myself a .50AE Titanium Gold Desert Eagle as a gift for my graduation from RMC. Im wondering if theres anyone in canada that has these in stock, or will likely have them in stock by march or early april of 2009 (i graduate may '09). And if not, how long does Questar usually take to import? (cuz id have to arrange all that much earlier in '09 if i want it by grad) does anyone know anything?

Cheers

Good for you! I really enjoy seeing people "treat" themselves to a new gun. I think you couldn't make a better choice. I really enjoyed the .44 Mag DE I had. ;)

Best wishes, Jeff/1911.

My buddy who owns a DE .50 also owns a S&W 500. I haven't shot the 500 yet, but I've heard it's got a lot of kick even with the built on muzzle brake.

I don't think it's a DE or S&W 500 thing. If that's what you're into then you'll probably eventually want both anyways.

Hey Chrisward3,
Here's some DE #### to tide you over until you get your own. I couldn't believe how heavy this gun is when I first picked it up. It's awesome...just...awesome.
Here's a few pics just after opening the box.

Here's a pic of the new Hogue grips. I haven't even fired it yet. All I've done it clean it, install the grips, and touch it lovingly.

dude you should start to reload the desert eagle....and good luck finding ammo and components for it ...the .50 ..very expensive...also for some reason my friends .357 and .44 mag only like high power loads ...its does not like light reloads and it often rips cases ???... but the look on people's faces when they see it and hear it ..is just pricless...made me go and buy one ....ya-hoo enjoy dude

CAN I HOLD IT AND LOVE IT TOO?

I'm setting up a ride 'n shoot with the guys at bcsportbikes.com and I'll be bringing the DE .50AE. If you guys want to come and shoot it all you have to do is bring some factory ammo and you can have a go.
