Another question 223

I am considering the purchase of a 223. I load for a couple friends in that caliber but am somewhat perplexed. Tika very easy to load for, CZ 600 finicky, I'm leaning towards a CZ 527 if I can find one. And then comes the question I swore i'd never ask which one?

Do you place any value in a Mauser action and more traditionally built rifle?

If no, I'd go Tikka and never look back. It really can't be argued that its inferior in any way but personal preference (which is fine)

At this time, I would likely pick whichever has the faster twist available (the Tikka, I think, but double check that). Both are good rifles. - dan

My 527 has 1:9 twist. Loves reloads with 62gr Nosler and 24gr Varget

Can't go wrong with the Tikka either.... twist is 1:8 so it probably would be liking heavier bullets

Availability and price are really the considerations I would think. Have not owned a CZ or Tikka that shoots poorly.

I do like the Brno Tika rifles but dam that tika shots good. Just........

I'm going to be that guy....buy them both. Set one up for plinking and the other for hunting. Can always sell one later once you've made the decision after having both

They sure do, and depending on your tastes, require no aftermarket stuff to keep on doing it, work 100%, have a great trigger etc

I load for my Tikka varmint in 223 and shoot a 77gr pill pushed by 24.4 gr of cfe223. 1:8 twist

I had a T-3 Varmint, a T-3 Tactical, and a 527 Varmint synthetic. Both T-3 rifles were under 1/2moa for five shots, the 527 was just under 3/4moa for five shots. I used the 69gr Matching or TMK in all three rifles.
