I am just inquiring as to anyone having information regarding the above mentioned .22 calibre rifles , Mauser M 15 and GSG 16, having a problem with higher velocity .22 ammunition. I was purchasing some today , and the dealer advised against using anything over 1200 FPS. He had advised he has seen videos where there have been incidents , where the breech was shattered caused by high pressures. I have yet to fire my Mauser, it was a recent acquisition, but want to err on the side of caution if this can possibly be the case. Look forward to hearing from anyone that may be able to shed further light on this perceived problem.

Many semi autos do not like Hyper Velocity ammo, or should I say manufacturers do not recommend HP ammo in their semi's.
Others will have a more detailed opinion.
Just because it is super fast ammo does not mean it will be the best ammo for ones .22.
Hence why many suggest to try several brands.
Every CZ I have owned shoot AE hollow points very well and CCI stingers shoot higher and slightly to the right.
Good intell for when in the field shooting gophers.
Tight Groups,
Rob

Pressure has nothing to do with it. Every type of 22LR and 22WMR cartridges are designed for a standard maximum SAAMI pressure of 24,000psi. Accordingly, every .22cal firearm is designed for this pressure with an appropriate safety margin.
Now, if I correctly remember, the Mauser M15 is equivalent to the GSG 15 NOT the GSG 16. Regardless, if you read the Technical Data in the Instruction Manual for the GSG 16 and GSG 15, you will notice that under "Caliber" it's printed clearly: 22 Long Rifle HV where "HV" means "High Velocity". So, all in all, your Mauser M15/GSG 15 is designed to shoot high velocity 22LR ammunition.

I've shot nothing but CCI Minimag 40 grain in my GSG16 since 2019 (1235fps). No wear, no issues and almost 10,000rounds

Show me a video, I've never heard that ever and I am on multiple pages specific to this rifle.

The amount of GSGs sold in NA is also absolutely massive
