Cool ? Maybe. Sacrilege ? Maybe. You Decide...I call it a Vz.81M LOL

That'd be sweet. That was probably my favorite functional Vz58 upgrade... same for T81 would be nice, for sure.

same, it just made sense. I stared into the abyss for a few hours & the only thing i could see is if that paddle was modified to allow some sort of arm/throw to release that bolt catch.

AHEM DR DLASK.:dancingbanana:

Update for y'all -

We have the new 90 degree selectors drawn up and have made some logical (we think) improvements over the sample we had in hand. These will go high up on the 'To-do' list.

As for the rifle itself I just got it back from bluing and they did a great job as usual. Just need to figure out which stock I want on it then to start on adapters and looking for a rivet press to properly re-install the butt stock trunnions with new ones. I suppose we could use Chicago screws but ugh, I friggin hate half arsing stuff like that. Dunno, we'll see what happens.

Dang though, she is soooo much lighter and more balanced with the equivalent of an entire CZ-858's worth of weight removed from the otherwise Lizzo sized barrel diameter......

Well dang, looks like I'll be needing a Dlask 90 degree T81 selector shortly! WhooHoo!

Any chance you can entertain barrel swaps at some point in the future? There were 6.5 Grendel projects from other CGN-ers, that would be a great caliber for longer range precision shooting

No, sorry. This is not a candidate for a one-hole long range rig. It's for chewing through corrosive ammo and not worrying too much about the consequences, lol. That is our opinion anyways since the one good thing the Communists ever made, the Vz.58, is not longer an option in Kanada.

Also, the way they installed the barrel into the front trunnion and then riveted the whole mess together...no thanks, not a job we want any part of.

Disagree on Vz.58 being the only good part, but fair enough :)

damn!!!! I am super jealous

Might be a dumb question, but if you trim down the OD of the barrel, does that introduce stress? Do you have to do any kind of stress relieving to the barrel afterwards, or is it fine?

No, machining the OD of the barrel does not introduce any stress into it. I kept the diameter the same as a factory CZ-858 and since those rifles shot wonderfully don't doubt this one will too.

Excited!! Looks awesome. The little arrow showing “F” is a nice touch. Any ETA on the real deal?

No ETA yet and you need to know we normally don't give them even if we know. Simply because stuff does come up and if folks have it in their minds that such and such parts will be ready at a certain time and then we don't release it because of unforeseen delays then we end up with a mess of angry people for no other reason except they feel wronged. I got done with that a long time ago and now we run it as when we have the stuff in the shop and ready at hand we sell it. Sometimes I will give a bit of notice like in the case of expensive and hard to get products so guys can book a 'bathroom break' and hopefully score something cool when they would normally be working ,lol.

Beside, isn't it nice to get a little surprise sometimes ? One of those 'Hell yeah!' moments when you log on here and see something awesome posted up with a live link to buy it ?
