300 weatherby mag. Jamming

Check the sides of the fired case/s for dimples or a frosted look, these can indicate what the chamber walls look like.
Check the base of the case for signs of the ejector impacting or the hole the ejector fits into.

Smoke or use some black marker on the bullet, chamber the cartridge then extract unfired. Look for signs the bullet is making contact with the rifling.

It’s a weatherby. I don’t think the throat is the issue.

Not necessarily. All that can be said is one load has an issue when used in this rifle. Factory ammo should be loaded to SAAMI specs, in theory it should be fine in a SAAMI spec chamber. The OP has not provided the Make of rifle, nor Model of rifle. Factory rifle or custom, SAAMI spec chamber or custom, aftermarket stock, recall on ammo? The ammo that is "fine" might barely be extracting, the ammo that is "an issue" might barely be at issue.

The OP has provided not even the minimum of information to accurately provide a cure, and certainly not info to rule out the rifle being an issue.

With the provided info I would recommend cleaning the chamber to remove rust and crud, apply a dab of grease to the primary cocking cam and check for protruding stock or mount screws.
A chamber on the small side of SAAMI specs and ammo with cases on the large side, loaded with some powder on tge outer envelope of their parameters will cause issues.
I have seen thus very conditions many times over the years.
It most certainly is an ammo issue with other ammo works , everything will be within spec if checked .
SAAMI specifications and tolerances are exact reason some rifles shoot better than others. As already mentioned, a different lot number of the same ammo may in fact work fine.

Again ! Nothing WRONG with the rifle just that Particular Nosler load is too HOT ! Simple ! RJ

So those Nosler loads are just too HOT for your rifle ! Don’t Shoot them ! RJ

You make the assumption that every maker always follows SAAMI specs - I had bought several boxes of Weatherby brand 7mm Weatherby Magnum Weatherby brand cases (Oct 2020) - they come in boxes of 20. I loaded up some 160 grain Partitions, and we tried that out in a Weatherby Mark V rifle - it was a "pressure series" involving 20 cartridges - one of them (out of 20) would not chamber in that rifle - the shooter could not get the bolt to close - I still have that one unfired round and the 19 others from that episode - "one day", I will fuss with micrometer to try to find difference between that case, and the others. If the maker can not get 20 cases to fit, then I have no doubt they might be a bit "sloppy" with their powder metering or other parameters. I have no clue who actually makes Weatherby brand stuff, nor do I know where in the world that it gets made - I was under the impression, at least for a while, that Norma in Sweden used to load Weatherby branded ammo. I do not know who or where it gets loaded now. I am to the point that I think 80% or more of the price is that Weatherby brand name - any more - I am quite sure that "modern" management is "mining" the Weatherby reputation, these days.

You make the assumption... brand cases...I loaded up...

No assumption made, you seem to gloss over words such as "should" and "theory". You state that your personal reloads will not function in a factory rifle, ok, that's not a new topic on forums.

I have no problem showing up late to the party and blaming pressure, I just don't want to arrive at a conclusion by taking shortcuts.

I got some Nosler 257 brass that is garbage soft, min loads and min velocity gives sticky bolt and ejector marks. Hornady brass was fine up to max loads and max velocity with no issues.
Brass can play a big part.

Soft Nosler brass wouldn’t surprise me much, I’ve come across that before with 300 Win and RUM cases. In the case of the RUM I had to back my loads off 3 or 4 whole grains. Others have been perfect.

If the OP was/is a handloader I’d say just pull it down for the brass. If not, then it’s just one box of ammo, not the end of the world. It might be worthwhile contacting Nosler, it wouldn’t be the first time a manufacturer gave out a coupon or cheque for a free box. Worth a try anyway.
