Has the CF ever used a 13" length of pull A2 buttstock on their C7, or any A1 rifles? Maybe on carbines some time? I'm thinking of the A2 stock that doesn't need a buttcap spacer, hence shorter.

Conventional A2 buttstocks we see on ARs these days are 13-5/8" length of pull.

Exactly this, but 5/8" shorter on the other end.

Yes it is availible on request if your stock is too long. Not an issue as we now use the C7A2 with a collapsible stock (although it's about the same quality as a UTG knock off piece of crap)

Do you know if these stocks are supplied with the rifles from Colt Canada, or are they/were a CF supplies accessory?

The "Colt Short" stocks (marked with an S inside a slightly larger C) were essentially the same length as an A1 stock - but made with the same materials and in the same shape/configuration as the A2. Back in the early 90's (my personal experience) they were available through the system as a replacement unit that your weapons tech installed for you. Don't know what the current supply situation is at present...

This is true, I used one for about a year befor we got the A2's. only problem is that their is not much legnth difranc, but any is distanc is good. also the more mass at the rear provides more ballance and a change in felt recoil. much nicer to shoot but not as cool looking. the choic is yours.
