It could have been worse.
I remember years ago one of our members left the lid off of his tumbler - which wasn't turned on - as he went to take care of some other pressing issue.
It seems his cat saw the big bowl of clean "kitty-litter" and left a couple of nice presents for him .....

There is a lake we go to about 45 minutes from our house and where the boat launch is there is picnic area with lots of beach for the grandkids. It is great entertainment to sit and watch people try to backup and launch their boats and about 1 in 5 forget to put the plug in.
I was out in my boat last summer, 19 ft bayliner with a buddy cabin . Got about a kilometre offshore and couldn’t figure out why the boat had no power,anyway lift up the hatch and it was full with water, I forgot to put the plug in.
Not a good day… lol
My new tumbler has a drain plug. It should be reinserted before tumbling the next batch...
Had that happen once. The plug gets hard after a while as well, and doesn't seal well. Silicone fixed that. After close to 40 years the motor finally went, so I bought another. Haven't got around to changing it yet though. They make good tumblers. - dan
I hate doing silly stuff that makes a mess.
My last one was using a powder thru die to make up some test loads. Turns out it makes a mess if you don't have the press handle in the down position so the case catches the powder you dump. Derp!
Love the cat crapping in the tumbler story. Tell us it was running at the time - like getting a massage while taking a dump.

I know a dumbass who didnt close the drain port on his Lyman powder dispenser before he started vigorously pouring some Staball match ball powder. You only do that once!
The genius in question now sits the unit on a TV dinner tray to catch any spilt powder.

I did that once as well, I started filling the Chargemaster with the drain open.

Been there.... done that! Let's call it a senior's moment, and any mockery to follow will be viewed as elder abuse!

This makes me glad my Lyman vibratory tumbler doesn’t have a drain lol, I know I’d forget to replace the plug lol.
