For some strange reason my collection does not contain a .22 long gun. I've looked around but cant really find something to fit what I'm looking for. If the Ruger BX-25 mags weren't cucked I'd have one of them. Anything else I should consider if I want a SA .22 that takes full capacity stick mags and isn't a jam-o-matic?

Dlask Tuff 22 will let you run regular capacity mags in an accurate 10/22 clone.

A bit pricey but a well made Canadian option.

Here's their takedown,

This is a more basic model in a hogue stock

I agree with Can-down.
My Tuf-22 has been great and came with a 25rnd HC3r mag that also holds a 20rnd stripper clip.
3 BX-1 mags can be stored in the stock.
My one and only semi-auto 22lr.......

I have a Spectre Ballistics International or SBI C-71 Canadian made Ruger 10/22 clone. Great accurate rifle. Its definitely worth taking a look at. It comes in 12 and 16 inch barrels variant's. If you prefer the AR style charging handle they have the ST-22 model.

Marlin 795 is one of the more reliable semi autos out there & has 25 Rd mags available.

This is a great option, but they're getting pricey now that they haven't made 'em for a few years (with no plans to make 'em again either from what I can see.)

The Marlin 795 and Winchester Wildcat are my personal favorite 22 semis. But the Wildcat has the same 10-round capacity issue as the Rugers. I'm not a huge Ruger fan, because I like my 22 semis to have a last round bolt hold open, but if that doesn't matter to you then DLASK makes nice stuff.

Browning SA-22, but it doesnt take a "stick magazine" or maybe a French Gevarm may be in your future .......

You didn’t say budget. Savage 22 or 64 for the “thin” wallet and easy to get 25 round mags

YEP agree and go to a shoot and stand in line to get the free parts. Shot in as registered CRPS match and SAVAGE was there and I almost felt bad for the poor lad convicted of that sentence. They can shoot great but they are JUNK. I know im gonna piss lots of you off but dont REALLY CARE. The Truths the truth and deep down you all know it. Shoot great as a rule but unreliable(OH JUST PUT ANOTHER WHATEVER PART ON TOP OF THE ORIGINAL) voilah works perfect now. What a FKin joke. Save yourself the heartache and buy a CZ or Tikka or if Im shooting at ur match Ill pay your fee and you can shoot any rifle I own and Ill give you match ammo as well. It dont get better than that!!! Savage are ok truck guns but barely, and only if ur driving a72 Datsun HAHA

Tikka makes semi auto 22s now?

Unfortunately no! Why shoot multiple bullets when one from a well built gun will getter done in one! Still wouldnt buy a Savage either way. The old Savage is long gone like many other big companies controlled by profit margins. As soon as plastic became the norm I sold all guns made by those companies.Sold all my Brownings and Savage rifles other than aT-Bolt ss 17HMR and my model 25 Walking varminter in 204 but theyll be hitting the road shortly. Both are lasers but its just the principle of owning JUNK built by companies OK with building JUNK. If you want a Great semi build one or buy a quality built one and it WONT have Savage on it anywhere.

Because sometimes its fun to just blast ####. I get great enjoyment out of smacking a 2" gong at 100m with my bolt gun, but blasting pop cans at 25yds with a semi is also plenty of fun.

Why not blast pop cans at 200 with your semi? Why would you assume Im talking about a BOLT,OHHH I get it cuz you assumed it was a Savage. Completely understand now HAHA

Because I'm typically not feeding my semi with ammo that can reliably hit cans at 200. You might be able to afford to feed your guns tenex all the time, but not all of us can.

Also, hitting pop cans at 200 from a bench or prone does little to help me hit a grouse at 20 from a standing position. YMMV.

Somebody going hard on savage bashing. Too bad, just another example of elitist ####s driving people out of the forum.

Kind of a rambling bunch of posts by that guy, sort of random. Whatever, one idiot doesn't have to ruin things if you don't let him.

Sort of like one other idiot on here that likes to dominate threads with useless posts.

Shoot what you want, enjoy the hobby. Life is too short for all the other stuff.
