Okay, I have to ask.

Since when did 28 gauge shotgun shells come in 3”?

And what guns is a person going to shoot these 3” 28 gauge ammunition in?

I’ve never seen a 28 gauge shotgun with a 3” chamber.

Please correct me if I’m wrong…..

I will never use 3" 28 gauge ammunition myself, but because people are buying the guns with 3" chambers, some will want 3" loads. It doesn't matter if it makes more sense to just buy a 20 gauge gun instead, if there are people that want 3" 28 gauge loads, a smart business will carry the 3" loads.

The stores sell a lot of 3-1/2" loads for the 12 gauge, and plenty of 3" loads for the 20 gauge, and those same customers will want 3" loads for their 28 gauge.
