Two reasons for me; bulk ammo costs about the same as 12 gauge, and it's more manageable for my partner to use.

They're damn fun to blast all day and won't be as abusive to the shoulder

I don’t have a 20ga but I’d like one. Can’t quite make up my mind whether it should be Tac 14 or Shockwave.

I'll play. Right one is my wifes tac-14 20. Quite a bit lighter than my 12ga.

Funny I was just about to post pics of mine.
I found this neat 6 round shell holder that has a quick detach.
Personaly the 20 gauge is great for me. I have a bad shoulder and just can’t take the abuse of a 12 gauge
This started out as a Tac 14

Been waiting forever for a new production 11-87 to convert into a tactical gun. Looking like it will never happen at this point. I don't think any 12 gauge have even been made.

Picked it up second hand locally. Couldn't pass it up with those ghost ring sights (goes well with my 12gauge 590A1).

Here is my little friend which I use for three gun and general messing around. I love how light and handy it is and does not beat the snot out of me! I actually prefer 20ga due to the narrower receivers which makes for a naturally higher comb. I have high cheek bones so find most 12’s I can’t see over the receiver when I shoulder them.

I have actually found due to the lighter weight most 20ga guns have more recoil than 12ga. It’s an 870 LW Special if you can’t quite make it out.

20G on top 12G on bottom. These both have Magpul stocks and forends on them now, and the 20G also has a 2 shot extension.
