I want to add a couple of Glock 19 OEM Mags for my Ruger PCC (Already for Magpul ones), and I have a few questions.

There seem to be Gen 4 and Gen 5 versions, and for some reason, dealers have different names for these, so it's hard to know which one is which. They also seem to be unavailable at any of the site sponsors. Am I missing something?

is there any difference in Gen 4/5 when it comes to the Ruger PCC?

The Glock 19X - even though it is Gen5, uses a standard (Gen4) type of floorplate, and the Gen5 floorplate on a G17 magazine is too long for a 19X. In your case, where you have already decided that you want OEM G19 magazines for your Ruger PC9, I don't think it really matters whether you choose the Gen4 or the Gen5. Personally, I like the (Gen5) orange follower but I also prefer the dimensions and the feel of the old (Gen4) floorplate.

Are the followers exactly the same dimensions? Activating the bolt stop is an issue for some Ruger PCC rifles.

Just out of interest, are G26 magazines too short for the Ruger PCC magwell?

Followers are exactly the same dimensions. RPCC bolt hold open issues are derived from the cheap tab that lifts up the bolt stop not the magazines. Bend it back into proper shape and that fixes that. Purchase a spare to keep in your parts bin. I keep a Glock 26 magazine in mine during travel in the event I forget my magazines at home I can still get by with one.

Hi All, am I wrong in assuming that a Glock 19 magazine will not fit in a Ruger PC Carbine? All I've seen is that the 17/34 magazine would be for the PC Carbine?
Thanks for any insight on this.

The Ruger PCC will accept G17, G19, and G26 magazines (thanks rubberdonuts). Those magazines are all the same shape at the top, where they interface with the firearm, and just have different length magazine bodies. The magwell on the Ruger PCC is shorter than the G26 grip, so they'll all fit just fine. As will the 33-rd extended magazines, of course.

Some people like having a longer mag hanging down from the magwell, some prefer shorter.

Also, a G26 mag will fit in the well with the barrel in the stored position if you choose to keep it that way

You mean for the Backpacker version? Good to know. As another option, while it's a bit longer than the OEM G26 mag, I see the Magpul PMAG 12 GL9 for G26 (Magpul part# MAG674) is in Canada. Sold out at most places, but looks like RDSC has them. OEM G26 mags are spendy and can be hard to find....

Yup, I meant for the BP Magpul version.
