I'm grabbing a Dlask TUF-22 soon, but would also really like to grab one of the Ruger Compact 10/22s as an inexpensive, lighter version of the rifle to use with the stock fiber optic sights.
I'm hesitant though as when I was in the market for a 10/22 a few years ago, the examples I handled and inspected at gun stores all had canted front sights. One also had the hole in the receiver that the barrel slides into machined crooked so the barrel leaned more to one side. Brutal QC that completely turned me of buying any Ruger products. A friend recently bought a compact and it's the only Ruger 10/22 I've seen so far that doesn't have any QC issues.
I know these were both common issues, and I'm curious if they still are. Has anyone here who bought their Ruger 10/22 in the past 2 years had either of these issues, or maybe another QC related issue? Debating if it's worth risking it on a Ruger brand rifle, or just skip it and go right for Dlask (for 3x the cost mind you @ $385 vs $1000+).
Thanks
