Which SKS to buy after missing a sale

Hi everyone,

I am in the market for a new SKS and Great North Gun had a sale going on unissued Factory 26 French Ticklers and sadly I didn't pull the trigger on time and missed out. However, they still have plenty of Jungle stocks in stock.

I have read and heard bad things about the jungle stocks, more specifically about how often they break between the cheek rest and the receiver when dropped.

I think I will hold out for another French Tickler but I wanted your opinions on this.

Put a wtb ad on the EE and keep checking for someone selling as they do come up.
No use buying something you don't really want.

If it breaks from being dropped they probs break from enough real world handling if you don't baby your gun.

They look and feel chintzy af too. Would rather have the cork-like, forgot to varnish the inside, Chinese wood lol.

Yes, I've owned (and still have one) several SKS and have never heard of this "French Tickler"......🤨🤨

You did miss something.

Its a pretty widely used collector's term for the Chinese bakelite/synthetic gas tube cover. Yknow with all the lil bumps on it?
