Hiyall,

I currently own 2 - walther cp99 air guns. Had them for like 20 years lol. One is falling apart, looking to get a new one, wondering what are some good options yall had?

Give thanks!

I'm not sure if you are asking about current or past offerings. If you can find them on the secondary market, those Umarex - Beretta FS92 and Umarex Colt 1911 .177 CO2 pistols are fantastic, from a weight, accuracy and all around fun plinking perspective. Probably about 15 years old since they came out.

Not sure if you are looking at a repeater or single shot. The old Crosman 2240s have also been fun guns. Same for the Benjamin EB22. Both are single shots. I have seen those on the secondary market

I bought an X-Five CO2 pistol years ago and the quality was not as good as offerings from the past. Also, the selection seems to have been better in the past before the government seemingly put the kibosh on a lot of new models due to what they perceive to be CO2 replicas of "real" or authentic cousins.

The only CO2 pistol which I disliked immensely in my life was the Crosman T4. I should have known that anything that shoots BBs and pellets interchangeably is probably not known for accuracy. There thing was a jam-o-matic.

Thanks those are great! I'll check out the older ones.

Older thread but......
I just picked up an ASG Dan Wesson 715 6"bbl. It's awesome. Now eyeing the Reximex Morpho........

Another vote for the Crosman 2240 (CO²) and Crosman 1322 (pump). Highest energy non-PAL rated air pistols you can get AFAIK.

For air guns, .22 all the way IMO.

I picked up a Chiappa Rhino 50DS a week after the ASG Dan Wesson 715.

The Rhino is made solidly and actually slightly heavier than the real one. The real Rhino intrigued me since it was first available so I figured the next best thing is the Chiappa licensed CO2 replica.

Although the replica has a smooth bore it can shoot either BB's or pellets due to the rear loading "bullets". It actually groups pellets better!
The only neg imo is the plastic grips. If they were wood the Rhino would overall outshine the DW715 with the awesome rubber hogue grips.

I bought an (Snowpeake) Artemis CP-1 M in 22cal. It's a bolt action repeater with a 7-pellet rotary magazine & a single-shot sled. It is pretty accurate altho I've only fired it a bit in my basement, not a 'real range' - at 25-feet. A nice 'target-style' grip-design with adjustable iron sights. Grackles Beware !! (They're back in town now, after Winter in Fla. šŸ˜‰ )
