I’ve read some comments of people using spray foam as a replacement for the foam in the butt of a T3x.
Anyone have any input on doing this with a CR1 installed? Will it still function properly?
How much of a problem will it cause in the future if I want to remove it?
Or..
Am I better off trimming the original foam and trying to put that back in?

Any experience or tips would be great.

Hey,

I installed a CR1 in my T1X stock. Spray foam sounds like a terrible idea. Unless you want the cheek piece to not move.

I cut the original foam in the stock to fit around the CR1 so it has full movement.

If you ever choose to remove it there could be issues as well as the holes you drive would be exposed. I can take some photos of it later if needed.

I agree. It sounded terrible when I read it on another forum as well. Seen some comments mentioning using spray foam inside a plastic bag so it was still removable.
I’m all for trimming the original foam, I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing something.
If someone had a picture of how they trimmed the foam I’d love to see it.
