It's very imaginative and I imagine plays with historical knowledge, but the firearms represented in "All the King's Men" were actually pretty good and I couldn't notice one innacuracy!

When the one character climbs the hill at night and he is looking for an enemy to shoot his No. 1 is actually cocked!

Anyone else seen this WWI Masterpiece Theatre movie?

I have it.

Well worth seeing!

The Great War was no fun for anyone.. The Aussies also had problems with Johnny Turk's "no prisoners" policy.

A point of interest, the Turks and the ANZAC had a commerative reunion a while back. A NZ airforce type who went, said he had a great time.

Great movie! I received it from Amazon the other day and watched it. I will have to check it out again, but I was wondering if the German Doctor/Officer's uniform was correct, in the hospital scene.

When he leans over the wounded Brit, i could have sworn it was a WWII uniform.

If you watched the movie carefully you would have noticed that the plot makes it perfectly clear that he is a German doctor FROM THE FUTURE. The Delorian was a dead giveaway.

Geez.

I don't know much about uniforms. I was mostly referring to the firearms in it. You see glaring problems with firearms in movies, even historical movies (Enemy at the Gates!) and I thought it was refreshing to see a good job done here.

Has anybody else noticed that in Band of Brothers episode 3 (Carentan) Pvt. Blithe fires 12 rounds out of his M1 Garand?

I know on the version I have, when they cross the river to rescue the british after Market Garden Sgt Randelman is paddling but there's no paddle in his hands:confused:
