How come they make the lemon aid guide for cars, and not guns? With 3 (or so) different models on the market, which browning buckmark is the most accurate out of the box? Ive been looking for a used one for a while now, Leaning towards one with a bull barrel, something I can put a scope on...but am leery Ill buy the dreaded ...what ever you do, don't buy the one with the carbon barrel that was produced in 199X.Thats the lemon.

Any comments? Suggestions what to look for and what to avoid?

I read that too...and would like to know which model has the carbon fibre barrel. If I do wind up having to order a new one from SIR it would be nice to stress the fact that I dont want the carbon fibre, its my understanding that its just a barrel liner jammed into the carbon fibre, so I think a propper heavier barrel will likely stand up to the test of time, and the likelyhood itll get dropped...not that i would want that.

canada post burnt the midnight oil and started me off on a good weekend..lol

the scope is just a crappy fixed 4x that came w/ the $99 sks acc kit from a few yrs ago.

I have that same model; though with walnut instead of laminate. It's great; though feeding gets a bit sticky when dirty (like most semi's I suppose). Anway, the thing is extremely accurate - moreso than my pimped out 10/22 with the lilja barrel and volquartsen guts. It's almost as accurate with federal american eagle as my anschutz - easily able to achieve '12 gauge hull' accuracy at 50 yards, and a bit better than gopher accurate at 100 - which is all I really ask of it.

It's much more compact than the 10/22; due to the design of the action. Feeding through the grip means that the overall length of the gun is reduced a good 2," and the already short 18.5" barrel means that the entire package is about as short as a 16" barreled 10/22

Very nice...Im green with envy,,,just debating weather to leave my 10/22 the way it is and get one of these instead of modifyin the heck out of a 10-15 year old gun...I think Ill save for a bit and get myself the buckmark, like yours...There was someone out by Ottawa selling a used one for $400 a month ago, But I wasnt sure what to look for in a used one. Now Im wishing I should have gotten it. I see there are allot of cool accessories from a company in the states called tacticalsolutions. But there again, who knows how customs would deal with that supplier? Let us know how she shoots!
