N/R CZ Bren 2 in 7.62x39 W/ TWO Barrels Complete

HAHA !! Thanks for that, I needed a good laugh. You guys will be happy with these rifles, they are coming out awesome.

Here is an update and a chance to make one more person happy. The update is we have the gas regulators being drilled today for the correct port sizes, they will be sent out for Nitride when we send the barrels for bluing. For the barrels themselves those are going out tomorrow or Friday, I only have about 7 left to chamber.

Now for making someone happy. I had left 2x guns off the website in case someone called the order in. I like these so much that I am buying one of them for myself. The other is up for grabs, you can find it here on the website :

I guess it sold, that was quick, lol.
Thank you for the update. I totally grove on hearing the updates.

Happy Friday folks. Quick update for those that bought these rifles.

The barrels are done and I took them to bluing personally this afternoon. Turn time to get them back is 5 days so hopefully I get them next Friday, if not then Monday following for sure. It should only take a week after that to install the trunnions and finish them off.

As an aside, we had five extra barrels so I ordered five more rifles from the distributor. I will add these to the website once we get them.

Everything's coming up roses.

+++UPDATE +++

As for the parts and barrels these will be back in the shop tomorrow and from that point on we are full steam ahead to assemble the barrel components and get these out the door to the people that have purchased them. Sorry for the slight delay, we are on it as quickly as we can manage.

Tempting. Parts will be a concern going forward. Only so many 7.62 firing pins, extractors and bolts (through importer?) that are going to be available. Who knows when CZ will officially shut down 7.62 production if it hasn't happened already? Bren 3 has no 7.62 option so a tacit discontinuation. Then there's hunting down those proprietary mags... BUT THEN there's doing a lingle lower ak mag conversion, so many options.

I'm getting while the getting's good. I have actually already ordered some parts personally to have in my spares box for this rifle. It was just TOO tempting to have a 3 caliber, 5x barrel convertible rifle. 7.62x39 is still reasonably cheap and it's a nice option, I only need 5x mags and another vendor here has those. Between you and me Hugh, I got a box of Hornady 255gr subsonics to mess with. If I can dial in a new regulator to fire those as well then that's cool I think....spit ballin' here.)

There's something else too but I won't say anything about it until I know it works and have tested it.

What other rifle on the Kdn. market can you have these barrels and calibers on one N/R platform ?!

My inventory will be :

R - 11" 5.56 NATO (Factory)
N/R - 18.7" .223 Wylde (Dlask Arms Corp.)
R - 11" 7.62x39 Ukrainian (Factory)
N/R - 18.7" 7.62x39 Ukrainian (Dlask Arms Corp.)
R - 10 " 300 Blackout tuned for supers and subs (D.A.C. Secret Squirrel Works)

Leigh, just so I am less muddled than usual. Does the NR converted long gas system rifle come with a longer hand guard to cover the long gas piston assembly?

To be clear I am not complaining(the rife length gas assembly/barrel looks great) I am just confused a little by the initial picture on the ordering page with NR barrel length with obvious short gas piston and associated short hand guard vs the image of the proto NR barrel and long gas piston on post #46.

I guess I am really just hoping I can prompt you to post a picture of one of the first completely assembled rifles :)

Good morning Apu, sorry but I hadn't thought of that. So the final configuration of the rifle is :

-A new Bren 2 MS rifle in 7.62x39
-Factory 11" 7.62x39 barrel complete in the box from CZ with full factory gas system and factory flash hider installed. We don't touch these in any way other than remove them from the donor guns and put them back in the CZ box.
-Installed on the rifle is our 18.75" barrel with all new gas system parts installed and the rifle test fired from us here at Dlask Arms Corp. to ensure it functions as it should.
-The handguard provided is the short version from the factory. If you want a longer HBI handguard then you will need to purchase this separately from a vendor.
-All of the factory accoutrements are in the box from the factory : cleaning kit, owner's manual, whichever mag they shipped the rifle with etc.

I will post a picture as soon as I have a few spare minutes. I am currently going balls to the wall trying to finish the small run of .223 Wylde N/R barrels so I can get them moving and out for bluing, sorry. According to some people this is important....lol

…now where are those 300 blackout barrels?? 😉

Not enough pressure to run subs and supers on a short barrel. I am custom turning a shorter gas piston to move the system rearward and once I try that I'll post and let you guys know. Otherwise shooting subs in 7.62x39 may be the only semi auto choice we have.

There is a large inventory of AR180 based, Canadian made rifles out there. A major failure point on earlier versions of these rifles was the piston system, with the single piece piston system snapping when the gas/piston system loosened and knocked out of alignment. This is annoying, as the original AR180 had a multi-piece piston, as did earlier German rifles that system was partially based on. Once your current flurry of Bren 2 work is done, is there any possibility Dlask could work on a better piston system to retrofit the 180 based rifles out there? Thanks!

Negatory good buddy, just too many projects already.
