Flying through the usa with firearms form

6NIA. I get the cheapest small game licence I can find online. Whether you actually need the 6NIA travel through with your luggage checked right through is debateable; but its not a debate I want to have at an airport.

I just flew through Newark USA on my way back from Mozambique. USA border security certainly did require a form 6NIA from Canadians. It takes several weeks, perhaps a month or more to get one. Not a couple days. I had my first application, sent in two months before my trip, rejected after a wait of three weeks for not having a "zip" code on my address. No other errors. I had to completely re-apply and go to the back of the line. Three weeks later no answer. I had to beg and plead and just got my 6NIA approved a week before I left. I watched someone get arrested for not having theirs when I went through the security check at the airport.

What did you do the 2nd time for the zip code?

I added my postal code with a note referring to previous application rejection, and attached the email sent by the agent who sent the rejection notice. That seemed to be acceptable.
