The long waited Beretta 1301 Gen 2 MOD 2 is arriving.
As we all know it had many new features and one of the big ones was a new forend juat like the A300 patrol wirh M-loc system....
As you looking at $250/300 for the aridus forend, we are one of only 2 dealers ND we still can't get them
Nope....
And the pricing........
This has not even hit dealers yet and its already running into an A300 patrol disaster.
No full lengh mag tube or mag clamp so that another $250.
So to get this gun up to min spec it's another $500

That's lame - the 1301 is a much nicer shotgun than the A300, so it's unfortunate that it's getting shortchanged in accessories when it comes to Canada.

Mine is a Gen 2. The only difference I can see is removable chokes. No mag tube extension or anything and same forend. Love it, works great.

Mod 2 has more updates to Gen 2. Different forestock, different trigger, different lifter and rear QD sling.

Well at least a proper one does, not the one we're being offered up here.
the one we get here in Canada is the base model version same as the one available in the US the major difference is Beretta USA offers more after market parts options than Stoeger in Canada because majority of the consumers in Canada would balk at $3k plus tactical shotguns and I believe there is also a regulation preventing manufacturers to import guns with magazine extension into Canada

Nah, the one we are getting doesn't have the new M-Lok forend from the 300 Ultima and no mag extension.
Basically Canada's Mod2 gets the new flat trigger and the Pro lifter which was always a $110 option.

If you want the real deal order from irunguns as they import the US model albeit with a pined magtube.

The real deal

mag extensions are a no go for importation into Canada and no warranty from stoeger here in case anything should go wrong unless I run guns are willing to do the warranty for us

IRG offers full warranty and as long as it is blocked to the legal limit there is nothing stopping importation of the proper mag tube. This is just a case of Stoeger ####ting the bed and apparently not caring.

Exactly. IRG isn't adding the extra bits on them up here, all they are doing is throwing a rivet in them down south and then sending them to Canada. No legal issue.

So you are saying IRG is breaking the law importing them with a mag extension?
And ya, they unlike Stoeger are bringing them in un neutered except for making the extension compliant.
Like SJ said above since the 1301 is a 3" gun the extension can be allowed to hold 5.9 rounds, which when loaded with 2 3/4 shells fits 6 which is still legal.
+1 in the tube +1 on the lifter for a total of 8 2 3/4" shells. Dumb as it may sound that's the law.
