Saying goodbye to my rifles

What is the problem with Canada Post?
It really depend on the post office you deal with.

In the small town where I live, everyone in the local post office knows me.

The person who bid on and won the contract to deliver mail to the boxes and parcels to the door, will seldom delver the parcels but put a notice the parcel is at the post office for pick up, because she's quite WOKE and anything that may or may not be firearms related scares the heck out of her just because.

Every time I put a parcel in the mail, the clerks will at the very least ask if it's something dangerous. They have no idea of what's dangerous or what isn't, then they will ask if it's a firearm or parts for firearms.

I politely tell them the laws and regulations concerning Canada Post shipment and it goes in one ear and out the other as soon as I leave.

Some post offices are totally functional and just want to speed up the process as much as possible, without hassle.

Mostly, I print my own shipping labels and that stops a lot of the BS.

Businesses get a lot less hassle than individuals.

Not for them. They fully believe they're being protected at all times. It's pretty much a general attitude amongst the WOKE.

The WOKE MEDIA have a small but very well, supported group of naysayers whom it's politically and in their psyches, correct to support.

They wouldn't pay for this support personally or work towards supporting them but they will mimic and repeat the dogma and rhetoric, all the while believing they are part of the "protected elites or at least pretending to be"

Right on!

I sent many hundreds guns by mail, and, without any problem.

Yes, one time, Canada Post truck driver rob a Mosin Nagant in transit, and, was fired LOL

The only question they have right to ask, "if it's dangerous good or not" a firearm it's not dangerous good.

I dont like the Canada Post (solution for business )website. Cant find the icons needed to click on my tablet to get stuff going. Plus I dont have a printer.
Next time I sell a rifle, will have to figure something out....or just mail it as usual

The amount of shooters and hunters in my menonite corner of Alberta. I’d say something forearms related passes through that post office wveryday. I’ve never had an issue ever. A quick wrap of children’s wrapping paper around the parcel helps too. I’ve dumped brass bullets and dies into a flat rate box infront of the guy at the counter and he said “someone gonna have a nice day” hahaha

Both post offices close to me make shipping anything a hassle. They lead such small lives they want info on a letter even it seems. The post office that I get guns shipped to the one lady says have fun and thats it
.

Wow OP those look beautiful. I am surprised you are selling them and I do not know your personal life. But if I had these I'd try to keep them all my life eh.

If you ship firearms you need venture one and print your own labels before you go. Learn it against the counter, say it’s prepaid, and walk away. That’s all I ever do.
Same here pretty much. Last time I sold my guns (~ 2020) and shipped them on Canada Post, I just bought a label online with my "business" personal account (You need a business account to order labels online but you can just make it to your name), filled out the info for a firearm shipment so it had adult signature required and voila left it at the counter done and done.

Or did something recently change?

Yeah like OkayShooter mentions, just use a scale like that. I myself pack it first with all the material then weight but yeah, as long as weigh is close enough to the real one they won't fuss about it.

Anyone question why citizen need to have business (business account) to ship firearm using Canada Post?

I was going to say you don't have to and you can go in person but yeah it seems Canada post instructs individuals to open a business account and print labels yourself, doing so in person is no longer available. And the reason for the business account is because their label purchasing tool is only reserved for business accounts.

But don't worry, you can open a business account as an individual, you just put your home adresse. Same for when I wanted to buy stuff from Fastenal, they only sell to businesses so I opened my "business account" with them. You don't need a buinsess number or anything.
