Cooey chamber damage

Found some damage in the chamber in a cooey model 75, can this be fixed or is the barrel damaged beyond repair? The sleeve seems fine, but the surrounding cone is damaged. Thanks for advice.

It's difficult to see the damage in this photo. Any damage notwithstanding, the first question is how does it shoot?

Photo is blurred. Are those marks in the chamber? If cases extract OK, there isn't much of a problem. What are those little divots all around the junction of the barrel and receiver?

Are the dents raised or indented? If raised you might get some extraction issues. I'd would spin some fine emery cloth to knock the high spots off. If indented I'd just shoot it as is.

Here is another picture, the circled portion has the steel blown out down to a inner cone. The bore is otherwise good and shoots fine but sometimes rifle will fire loudly and pass a portion of the blast into this void. I looked at a few other Cooeys and this seems to b a common issue with older Bolt action Cooey and similar rifles, many have this type of damage. Looking for possible corrective action if possible.

If the chamber wall is chipped or damaged to the point that unsupported case wall is failing, it is a real problem. There is no easy fix.
The barrel could be set back -shortened from the breech end - and the chamber and extractor relief area recut. Unlikely this would be cost effective.

Had two the same problem neither would eject a fired case. Can sometimes be fixed with a chamber tool and a flat punch to peen the chamber back in shape.

Are you serious? That's how it is built. That's where the extractor runs when you cycle the bolt.
