Mine was a new 7 REM Mag barrel replaced with a Benchmark #2 fluted to lighten it to 99 oz
Scope is a Leo VX3i CDS. SF 30 mm 4.5-14 x40 in Talleys . Just a hair over 115 oz now .

Yeah, that's exactly what I'm talking about. I'd buy one right now if they offered it. I thought about going this route with a barrel swap

theres a real good podcast from Barnes on a Hornady podcast about the reasons they made the 160g for the 7 prc , he explains the BC numbers and case capacity the 160 in copper seams to be the perfect size for it . the 168g are more for the 28 nosler . they do talk powder but of coarse top secret in what they settled on , at 3050 fps I would guess H1000 or even retumbo I would think .. its such a nice design I am debating rechambering my fierce 28 nosler to 7 prc .. if you get any Datta RJ on them 160 please be sure to share

well I got 2 boxes of 160 Barnes leads for a test and 2 boxes of factory ammo 160 also for barrel break in .barrel is on the way so I'll be a bit before load testing ..

I have some 190 gr Hornady A-Tips coming in to try out in the 7 PRC - I think I can shoot them at 2900 plus fps . Will be interesting to see how they fly . RJ

They have a G1 BC of 838 WoW just WOW THOSE MISSLES ARE GONNA FLY FLAT

Hello, I am shooting the 160 LRX factory ammo. .4 moa groups with it, just shooting off bags. 2996 fps with a 22' barrel. I had the same accuracy with 175gr ELDX also but only about 2850 fps. I prefer Barnes LRX bullets especially for hunting.
