I was wondering what is the best way to tap the tiny rear site pin, retaining pin out? Should it be removed by tapping it down, into the groove on the side of the receiver, or up?

They can be a #####...I actually bought a new set of punches to try and make this job easier.
One person on here said he uses a finishing nail bent into a little bit of a curve...always from the bottom up as Wheaty said. You should remove the safety with it's one screw to give you more room if it's being a bugger.

It is...and I did the same! :) My old set wasn't cutting it. I will give that a shot. Thanks guys!
