Campro .458 Spitzer in 45/70?

Has anyone tried Campro’s .458 Spitzer projectiles in a 45/70? They list a few different weights, this would be for range plinking out of a modern single shot. So I wouldn’t be too worried about OAL or feeding from a tube mag.

They list data for them only for .458 SOCOM but I don’t see why they wouldn’t work in a 45/70.

I shoot the 500gr in my 45-70 sharps. Just used 500gr jacketed bullet data from the Lee manual to start.

How do you like them, do they shoot accurately?

Load CamPro .458 405gr in my .45-70 trapdoor carbine good results I'd expect the same with 450gr.

They shoot well enough, load development went pretty easily. I’ve shot them out to 500 on steel and they’re every bit as accurate as I can manage to steer them. 3 impacts in about 12” at that range. I’m running them at 1200 fps.
