Why do you think the rifles themselves are never marked with model numbers? Is it possibly because they were known by different model numbers in different markets?Simply because people are asking for it. Those names are all around, in corporate brochures (HVA for European models models, Tradewinds for North-America) and in old gun publications.... Also, being a collector, it's rather important knowing what you get, because what we're ostly after are the rarer models. Some also try to get as many variations as possible. How would you classify them and know they are genuine if no one knew the model number ?
