I have a problem with a double-set trigger in a BRNO 21. The little leaf spring at the front of the trigger group has broken and I only have half of it: the half that is held down by the large machine screw. To reproduce the leaf spring, I need to see what the rest of it looks like. Does anyone have one of these leaf springs taken out of the trigger group so that it can be photographed or know of a source for a picture of it?

Or, at best, does anyone have one of these springs for sale or know of a source for them?

Thanks.

Sincerely,

Rob

If no one posts a picture it isn't that hard to figure out what you need...

But you can also convert to a single adjustable trigger. I believe several hundred have been done over the years... my dad's 7x64 had a Jaeger trigger installed and a filler in the bottom metal to make it look very professional back in the early 50's.

Only one tiny leaf spring exists in that relatively simple Brno double-set trigger. I need a picture of it. Simple.

Nevertheless, I'll try to get a photo taken soon of the broken spring and post it here.

Doesn't that feel good with a bit of relief too...? lol

However, right after locating the correct Brno factory spring and arranging for its purchase and shipment, I thought I would give my copy another go. I had made a replacement spring from Mauser magazine spring steel. I made it with the correct width and hole for the machine bolt but I didn't quite have the correct width and length of the narrow extension. I could get the set trigger to work but only with some difficulty and the two-stage front trigger pull would still not work. This extension is the part that bends up into the bottom of the front trigger mechanism and does the actual spring work. So I thinned it a tiny bit more and shortened it a bit as well...and suddenly IT WORKED. Both the set trigger function and the two-stage front trigger pull now work. When the factory spring arrives, I'll install it and use my spring as a backup. (Unless mine proves to be smoother!). After all, now that I know they can break, who knows when I might need another spring.
