Current load for my Old SSLR X-Bolt 26" 1-10" twist is, Nosler ABLR 150's over 68.02 grains MagPro, WLRM @ 3120.8FPS average, 4.1 dev.
THIS IS NOT A STARTING LOAD. Various brass with multiple firings and annealed. Do not attempt this load.
Cheers

Must hit like the hammers of god at that speed….nice and thanks
My self I’m using a semi …so the testing will start Tuesday or Wednesday..I pray I find a load that works

What model do you have? I have been considering getting a BAR but have zero personal experience with them.
What projectiles are you loading? Just curious. Cheers

Benelli r1…going to try hornady sst’s 150grain ….nosler just too expensive (well maybe..will see)……will try barns as well if the hornady don’t show any promise….
Hmmm powder holy Hanna lots of choices to choose from …but one thing is for sure it will be a temperature insensitive one …maybe staball or h4831..h1000
Just a side note if you were thinking about getting a browning semi auto you better jump on one super fast …browning is not making them any more …for ffff sakes

I bought a Tikka T-3 in 270 WSM just after the cartridge became available back in about 2003 or 2004. I worked up a load using Reloader 19 powder, Barnes 130gr TSX bullets, and CCI 250 primers. The velocity is in the 3250 - 3275 fps range, and is nice shooting out of my rifle.

I usually hunt southern Alberta for mulies, whitetails, and elk, this is a pretty good combo for my use, where the range can be fairly long sometimes.

You should see a chicken thief coyote with a 90 grain bullet out at over 3400. Cold weather calms the load down a bit. The 110 grain is not much better.

A really neat caliber.

I’m impressed with what people are getting ….so are people using bolt action rifles semi auto …what I’m curious….i my self will be using a semi …yes I know one has to be careful with the gas system…been reloading for 20 years …not looking for the faster load out there but more for accuracy….
What are you people getting 1”…. Or less …or you in metric ..how big are your groups …and how consistent are they ….in warm weather and in cold …
Thanks to all

I highly recommend the Nosler 150 ABLR's for 1-10" twist. Great BC and performance on impact even at lower vel. I won't mention reloader powders cuz they are pixie dust now. Poof all gone LoL. Temp insentive powder that works without crazy fast vel. and measures well is H4831SC. Seemed to like vel. around 2930 in my 26" barrel. I really like the Nosler manual as it seems to be more accurate info and it shows the more accurate powders and charge weights.
I'm sad about the BAR rifles. Browning doesn't say there out of production, or do you just mean the 270 WSM?

I do like nolser partions…but holy Hanna at $2 a bullet …that’s why I went with hornady …if nothing works it’s on to nosler and if that don’t work it’s on to barns
I'm loading high twist, long, monolithic copper, high BC Hammer Hunter Tipped 160grains for my 6.8western tonight. Gonna ladder some Ramshot Magnum powder. My first test with this powder this weekend. Check out Hammer bullets on u toobe. They are expensive to buy, ship from Montana and duty/exchange. Approx six bucks cdn. per bullet and Canada post likes to screw with your bullet orders. Don't get me started, Lol.
