Just a small sample of Aratech Research Level IV ESAPI Plates, back from the NIJ lab after NIJ certification.
As you can see, these have been shot at multiple areas on our tripple curved plates.
Each plate has been fully conditioned before being shot.
That includes drop test on concrete, full water submersion, and then shot with M2 30-06 AP at
15 meters.
Every single plate has to pass all tests before certification is issued
Then plates are shot over maximum speed until the plates fail.
Our v50 was 30% over maximum and still below the maximum back backface signature.
