Anyone know of any dealers other than Airgun Source Canada in Canada. I was told they would be in stock this month but now have been told they don't know when. I have found one in Florida but don't want to go through the hassles of importing.

Yup, waiting for the latest FX in Canada is an exercise in incredible patience. I have been wanting a synthetic stock Classic DRS 600 since December of 2023. I have asked AGS several times since the first due date of around late May of 2024. Some Classic DRS 500 came in but no others. Late September of this year a couple of walnut stock versions appeared on the website and recently some MDT 700 versions were listed, but still no 600mm version of the synthetic stock Classic DRS. In the meantime, Utah Airguns has sold out of multiple shipments of the Classic DRS synthetic in all caliber and plenum versions from 500 to 700mm. It is like Canada manages to eventually get a few of the lowest selling versions, sometimes, maybe, only if FX can't sell them anywhere else in the world. Pretty disappointing. Don't know why. But good luck on the M4, an interesting update of the M3.

and I just had a look. Yet another run of DRS 600mm classic synthetic are decorating the shelves in Utah. Still nada listed in Canada.

The M4 may eventually arrive, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Don't blame AGS, blame Canadian gun laws. I waited forever for my FX King. The way the shroud at the end of the barrel is fitted is different than the rest of the world. The rest of the world there is a round disk with an o-ring that screws on the end of the barrel and the shroud slides over this and screws onto the plenum. The Canadian model has a tube attached to the end cap on the shroud that slides over the barrel so there is no air space between the shroud and the end of the barrel, which could be considered a moderator/silencer.

Huh, really? Wow. I have never taken the shroud off my King. I will do that sometime for sure and look. Mine has a hole drilled through the threaded adapter provided to attach the moderator but I don't know if it is factory or not.

Edit >> Yes, they have definitely done something stupid to the end of the shroud. It looks like a modification to try to ensure a moderator can not be used effectively.

I will say it is the nicest shooting pellet rifle I have ever owned, but I really don't like to do much more than benchrest with it. The accuracy is amazing. I just don't want to damage that gorgeous GRS stock.

That is why I want a DRS. I figure the synthetic stock won't get significantly damaged. I am not sure what the difference would be between the 500 and 600mm versions. There is a 600mm stock walnut available for quite some time, so if mods were made to the barrel for some reason, they are done and the synthetic version should have been available for months now. They make mods to the DRS to meet the UK regulations too and came up with a 495fps version for Canada as well. I still think we are near the bottom of the list when it comes to receiving certain items. Utah still sell the 600mm Classic synthetic version out rapidly. I don't recall seeing a run lasting for more than a week or two at the most. They probably get priority.

Since the FX dealer/distributor affair in the US in the recent past I think FX Sweden slower the business with North America.
The next reality is that the Canadian market is low volume, spiced with exotic laws that makes just any airgun manufacturer abandoning the attention. Pretty much comes down to a point that the Canadian dealer need to beg them to make couple custom pieces for us...and there were several cases in the past.
If I can recall correctly in a recent past there was an example with a Turkish gunmaker, a minimum amount for limited series they were requesting to be at least 100 pieces... the dealer could not risk the investment...Same with FX, to modify the shroud need a bunch of custom parts also to make it future proof as well and a volume would be what? 20-30 guns?
I know a bunch of Brand and Model airguns I would buy but not in FRT table, importing on my own and going through the approval process I cannot justify where all my expenses may end.

Problem is that this has already been done since there is a 600mm version with walnut stock. There is zero difference between the synthetic and the walnut other than the stock.

I will also add that AGS is in the business of selling air rifles. I can see no reason why they would not have them except that they are having trouble getting them from FX.

The problem I see is with administering the information flow, starting from your order and ending with delivering your FX product to your hands.
Packaging of these rifles is done in the factory not at your dealer, a lot of attention needed to keep the parties happy. The Canadian specs airguns really just a small volume for the operation.
The US distributors affair definitely changed things in mutual trust.

Received my new .30cal M4 last week. Waiting on an inline filter for the compressor before really using it a bunch.
Sighted it in with 44.75JSB's for now. Looking forward to getting some ZAN slugs for gophers in the spring!

So how do you like your rifle?
Have you been experimenting with any different pellets, slugs, settings?

I found the tuning not as easy as what Youtube makes it out to be, and you need a chrono to find those "magic spots" where it makes only one hole in a target.

Mind you I'm restricted to only 10m right now so can't say too much about distance until the warm weather comes in.

Once you play with the tuning, you'll be impressed. I've taken my FX M4 Sniper in 22cal out to 380yds on steel and it is outstanding. Just keep an eye on your bottle pressure and make sure it does not drop below the reg pressure as it could harm the rifle.

Can I ask what slug and reg pressure/fps you are using for that distance?

Good advice on the tank pressure,
I bought a couple digital gauges for it as well as the two angled blocks so the gauges are easily viewable from the shooting position.

Makes it much easier to read the pressures, especially if you are on a bench or tripod.

That reg pressure I found i could shoot the Jumbo Heavies at 830 and 21gr slugs at 970 and only have to switch the hammer dial and I got single hole groups at 10m.

To shoot pellets only I can drop the reg down to 70 so far and keep all the heavy pellet weights in what I've read is the Sweet speed ranges 830-970 and seem to be able to fine tune some of the pellets back to single hole.

For field target you are limited to 20ftlbs so I found a 13.14 Falcon and JSB pellets that seem to one hole it with a reg pressure as low as 35bar. Running them at 780-810fps as I am trying and find "the perfect tune, lol"

I'm very impressed with the rifle, figured it's tun-ability would allow me to try most of the spectrum of air rifles see what I like most.

Let me check when I am home as I don't have that info at the moment.
