Just recently got my PAL and am looking forward to joining the community.
For a suburb-dweller I seem to have a rather poor choice of hobbies - I flew drones and model rockets when I was younger, at least until legislation turned my backyard into a no-fly zone and the local rocket club got kicked out of the one place in the city that could host them. The usual "not-in-my-backyard" type stuff, I suppose. Now here I am getting into firearms - hope things don't end up the same way.
Will probably just get a plain ol' 22LR and 12 gauge in the beginning for plinking and skeet to see how it goes. I do hope to get a 223 Raven (or X95, or Bren) to scratch that AR itch someday, but maybe I'll just play it safe and sit tight.
