Upgrading from PAL to R-PAL with a hitch?

When I got my PAL last year I also got a call from the CFO, I had a couple "glitches" in my past they were concerned about, long past. After a great, polite, 5 minute phone call I was issued my PAL.
I am now considering applying for my restricted, so my question is fairly obvious at this point, are they likely to be a bit more tougher on me for a restricted or is it based on my original PAL?
I am an active member at a gun club if that is of any importance.

Are these "glitches" more than 5 years in the past? If they are, I know at least one nutz, who had "glitches" more than 5 years in past, and he has a restricted license. They'll probably still bust your chops about it, but likely you'll get approved, if more than 5 years ago. Still, worst they can say is "no" so give it a shot.

I am sure you should have no problem since they have already checked with you when you applied for PAL
