Six year legal battle FINALLY!! over....I think

Regular
After 6 long years, I think my legal battle is over. Getting my licence renewed may be the next chaos inflicted by a corrupt RCMP.
About this time of the year in 2018 my residence was broken into. I had about 30 grand worth of firearms stolen.
Two months later, after cooperating totally with the rcmp and just before Christmas they raided my place and accused me of insurance fraud and suspected arms trafficking. They also confiscated another half dozen or so firearms that the other thieves didn't get.
To make a long story short, after trashing my place (worse than the other thieves), harrassing my neighbours about me (ALL of which said I was an excellent neighbour- I had lived there for over a dozen years at that time), used the list of the reported stolen firearms as the reason for the search warrant, lying in court documents, withholding evidence, claiming (in court documents) two of the confiscated firearms (both NR) as prohibited firearms. They also, on two occasions accused me of not reporting firearms as stolen. WHY?...because none of the stolen firearms were recorded as stolen....BY THEM!

Further, I am out several thousand dollars of firearms and ammo, which was bought and paid for that had not yet been sent to me. Because of the chaos surrounding all this at the start I didn't pursue this so as to not involve those companies and individuals involved. Not that they were illegal or above board people..it was so the other thieves (rcmp) wouldn't have them on the radar for their corruption, careerism and vindictiveness.

Anyway, my new found enthusiasm for firearms is now dashed. I get sick to my stomach everytime I see a firearms magazine or think about guns.

Finally, I have ample reason to dislike the police and wouldn't help a single ####ing one of them if they were lying in a ditch bleeding. #### THEM!

This seems like one of those "more to every story" types of scenarios. "new found enthusiasm for firearms", yet you had $30k worth stolen, then another half dozen confiscated shortly after, and thousands of dollars worth of firearms and ammo on the way?

Also, that last sentence makes you sound like a fu*king psychopath. Not a great look.

Based on past behavior we've seen by the Kings Pirates, it's plausible. I can't say I'd help them either, and I certainly don't trust any of their members. Unlike the North West Mounted Police whom were generally respected, the RCMP right from the get go were created to deal with the "Indian problem", and they've just spiraled the toilet ever since. But this definitely sounds like it needs it's own thread in off topics.

Hello,
I did say it was a long story short.
I say new found as I was into shooting years ago but mostly due to finances opted out. I started making considerable extra dollars at work so I opted back in.
Further, as they say "looks can be deceiving". Saying it like I feel it, in reality I would probably help as that's really the person I am.
Also, hard for one to truly understand until one goes through this type of ####.

So,what was the disposition of all the charges? Were your firearms ever returned? If not,why not? Did the insurance company pay out the claims? There's a lot to unwrap here. Otherwise, this is just another rant by someone who was scooped up in unlawful activity.

I believe you OP. I got ####ed by the system in other places. I thought we had a great system but yeah no cops are a big problem in this, when I had that experience it really made me realise. In my case it wasn't as bad it was pertaining to driver's license and they made me lose it but yeah. Since that day it really made me realise how powerless you can be when everyone thinks you are guilty but in reality you are not. It's really disgusting feeling and I wish no one ever is in that.

Just look at Umar Zameer with that Toronto police case from only ~ 1 year ago, the video from Lackluster on Youtube. When they have their ego and their mind made up you are the bad guy, good luck. Even the so called good cops won't prevent the bad cops from being bad. If there wouldn't have been video surveillance, that guy would have been in jail for first degree murder while being completely innocent. Police genuinely scare me in how they can lie and make things up and everyone automatically believes them. And the worst part out of all of that, zero police officers faced repercussions. They colluded and lied yet faced zero consequences. And the police and chief did not even accept that they acted wrong. Absolutely disgusting what police is in 2024 in this current day and age. Doesn't matter the department, they are all like this. All police act like a gang that will always cover each other and never admit they are wrong unless forced to.

This is why they are all bad. None can be trusted. None can be forgiven.

I believe you and am sorry this happened to you

I understand what you are feeling.
I would get your gun license back and eventually get better guns than when this started.
Love your enemy. You can't beat them at their own game of being dirty. Overcome evil with good.
Eventually your new good memories with your new better guns will replace your reminders of what they did and tried to do to you.
I wouldn't have believed you years ago. But after what they tried to do to me I definitely believe you now.
You are not alone.
You can choose to come out of this better or you can be bitter and full of hate and hurt. It's up to you.

To make the statement they're all bad and cannot be trusted is saying all gun owners cannot be trusted as some used guns in crimes or All Muslims are terrorist.

Fact is over the years I've met some great officers.

Young or older ones? I suspect older is better when it comes to rcmp.

Not at all. Let me explain.

When you acknowledge the fact that even the supposedly "good" cops won't call out the bad ones or stop their colleague from doing something bad, they all become bad cops. Gun owners or Muslims prevent bad gun owners or call out terrorists but cops don't call out bad cops. They can be a great person to interact with, don't' get me wrong, but that fact makes them bad incompetent cops. And when the good cops do call out those bad cops, they tend get fired or get forced to retire because their colleague shun them or bully them out of it. So even if there is a good cop, it is not with the force for a long time.

And then don't get me started on the fact that police can legally lie to you and play games like that. So just that shows me I can never trust to 100% what a police officer tells me.

And just look at that case of Umar I mentioned. The chief never acknowledged they did a mistake, never acknowledged they were bad. If the chief can't do that, then just imagine everyone under them and the mentality of their gang. The chief literally says in his words he does not care the person was innocent, they still wanted him put in jail. Disgusting.

So yeah.... it's funny seeing people try to justify police are good. I wanted to become a cop until I saw this gang like clique and gave up on that. Now I do regret because maybe I could help change the police we have but alas. Nothing will change with police because we have bootlickers who think we can't ever critique police and they are 100% perfect.

The thing is I am not covering up for or protecting "bad" gun owners. That is the difference to me.

Like this from yesterday:

The RCMP say a man killed his wife. Her daughters say police won't admit he's an ex-Mountie

All charges dropped. Firearms to be returned what is legal...none of my handguns. Insurance not. I was involved in criminal activity as a victim of crim activity...and ranting..?

Why not the handguns? Were the handguns taken by the police or by the thieves?

What ever the story , I have not had a positive interaction
with any RCMP officer .
I have absolutely no respect for the institution , all the ''Keystone Kopp''
cases thru the years confirm my attitude .
...skwerl

Would love to see all the disclosure on this. I'll take it with a grain of salt.

Good ones will call out, but bad cops are protected by the unions that sweep it under the rug. Military is the same, they will out you if you snitch.

Did I say ALL cops are good? No, I was defending that NOT all are bad. Same goes with gun owners.
