White sand?

Can I tumble my pmc 257 weatherby brass with very fine white sand from the beach to clean them? Your thoughts. Please

Sand will grind down your brass,remove sharp corners in extractor grooves and magnum belts..
Head to the nearest pet store and pick up some lizard bedding.
Ground corn cob and walnut shell are a couple more out there.

Tried it. It left the brass very dull.

Princess Auto sells a 50lb bag of ground walnut for about $50. Will last for years.

Tried using the grit for polishing rock even in the walnut media to speed it up and the cases stuck in the die and had to re polish them to use.
