Spent most of the summer exploring to see where the deer were hiding out. Payed off in my opinion.

Started with my first ever deer being a 4 point white tail shot with my tikka Ctr in 6.5 creedmoor at 150m

Figured out how to field dress, skin and butcher it from lots of hours on YouTube.

Second deer was an exactly week later with my tac a1 in 6.5 creedmoor standing in the exact same spot as I shot the first one but this time I was further back at 200 yards.

Now my next goal is a wolf (partially for the fur and skull and partially for livestock protection)

Well done, nothing like putting in place a plan and having it come to fruition, your well on your way to a life time of hunting and making memories, the first one is always the best

You are on your way! I have hunted whitetail on and off for nearly sixty years. Enjoy your time out and away from the crowds.

getting out and having a successful hunt helped me get through a rough patch.
