Got mine today
They look and feel greatView attachment 848452
Heck yes. Should have had mine today, arrived in the city at 3am then at 9am decided to change delivery to tomorrow.. then 5 hours later says there may be a delay due to weather. WTF I'm in the city the firearm is in and the weather aint an issue right now. F+cking Canada Post.

These things look so damn good!! Can not wait to shoot it!

Got mine out to the range today.

25 rounds of Federal 2 3/4 slugs - flawless

25 rounds of Score Reduced recoil slugs - 1 failure to fully feed (slug was inserted into chamber but bolt not fully forward). This happened on the first round. These slugs won’t cycle my Benelli M2, and have weak ejection in my M4. They ran fine after the first one so I’m not blaming the shotgun.

25 rounds of Score 2 3/4 buckshot - Flawless.

Being a previous Hatsan Escort TSA owner, I know that the screws can come loose. I got home and they had been really loose on the sights and the ejection port guide.

Red loctite on the ejection port guide.

Blue on the screws that hold the sights on.

Slugs had been touching at 25 meters - I liked that.

I like this shotgun and am wishing I’d have bought a .410

Hey JeffMan, good to hear. my 20g came in yesterday. just a quick question, wrt the charging handle , which way should the charging handle go in? it goes in regardless of orientation, just wondering if I missed something. cheers.

I was pondering this too, but mine seemed to only go in one way. If I flipped it and tried to put it in, it wouldn’t go.

Good call. I think this one is a winner.

I think its strength comes from a) using an existing gas piston design that’s worked for Hatsan. b) not attempting to use the highly fashionable magazine route.

Yes 410 and a 20 gauge
I'm going for a 12 Gauge, & keeping an eye for a Pump in .410. Is your .410 noticeably lighter, thinner etc. .. I guess ithey're all about he same length. I think a little .410 pump would be perfect for my GF to play around with, easy for her to get familiar with, light weight, esp. if out in the Bush etc. by herself, picking' berries ;)

Thanks for the shooting update. Do you know if it's a proprietary gas design, or a copied design? Have read a couple opinions, some say Beretta, some HK. I couldn't agree more regarding magazines, at this price range stick to tried and true.

Are these going to pop up on the dot ca IRUNGUNS site? So tempting...
I asked that on Page 3 , I believe, & they basically said "No" .. as they said these are popular & limited stock, so not likely to stock in Canada. I plan to order for the Dec. shipment ..If they still have!

My research indicates that all parts interchange between the HK/ Fabarm FP6 and the Hatsan Escort. The FP6 is a pump tho.

Looking at the H&K SLS 2002 - the internals look exactly the same as a Hatsan Escort Auto. - certainly an HK design, or more accurately a Franchi gas recoil design as the 512 shotgun was manufactured by Franchi for H&K, then assembled and finished by HK.

Looking at a diagram for the Escort bull pup, it’s certainly very close to the original Escort MPA.

I have an MPA that I can compare parts to, when I eventually take it down for cleaning.

Yes this is a Turkish shotgun, but Hatsan isn’t just an unbranded/ then Rebranded hunk of Turkish junk - they are quite well known for reliability and quality.

Edited for greater accuracy
