This Saturday, Nov.9, four of us gathered to shoot at clay pigeons and tear the liebral govt apart. Among others, I took my two Weatherbys. Be darned if I could remember how to load them. One of the other guys solved the problem and we proceeded to waste ammunition and watch clays sail off unharmed. One of the guys brought his old Stevens bolt action 16 ga. He was whacking birds left, right and centre. Two guys had faultless Wingmasters. We had a lot of good laughs, teasing, and lots of missed birds. It was almost perfect calm, sunshine, and light jacket or shirt weather.

Had a couple of dud Herters 20 gauge cheap shells, out of maybe 30 rounds. That Weatherby SA08 20 ga. is sweet to shoot. My Cooey Hiawatha 12, and Ithaca double not so sweet.

We all share a close friendship with Bill W., one of the co-founders of AA. The four of us have a total of 187 years of continuous sobriety. We are well aware none of what took place on that Saturday could have happened if we had kept drinking.
