Gents what’s the consensus other than overpriced. I fondled one in Cabela’s. Smooth action, I like the iron sights, not sure about trigger since they won’t take trigger lock off to test. If you can find Sako iron sight set I guess you can make one from a cheaper version. I see a CSC has one for $2700. Thoughts.

Those are the civilian version of the ranger rifle. I have a tikka 308 stainless varmint and love mine. If the iron sites are a necessity, than grab one. If not, I'd go a different route and Maybe even put a rifle in a boyds stock of you want the orange or ranger red.

So direct from Stoeger you can get the iron sights separately but they charge 500 to 600 for each piece. So think of it like a 1k scope. Then you can get it put onto any rifle you want. So you could get into it for cheaper if you tried. Maybe pickup a CTR on sale and then drop he 1k for sights and put it all together.

These prices are old because it was a few years back I looked at this.

If you want to irons just buy the rifle. Only reason I looked into it so deep was because I am left handed.

Ranger here with 5crpg . Can’t speak about the tikka Arctic itself but I can speak about the c19 .
They are a pretty good rifle . Smooth action , the 2 stage trigger is pretty good . The site I find the smallest aperture a bit big for 100 yards that it’s rated for . I zero mine on the 200 yard notch for 100 . I have seen extensive feeding issues and on a shoot in September I saw a stock failure where the recoil lug pushed back far enough that mags would not latch . But I have not had any issues with mine . The feeding isssues seem to be from the mags . I have kept my issued pair and never had a problem . I prob wouldn’t buy one but it’s ok for our use

I forgot about the set trigger... not sure that comes on the artic

I like mine. Decent two stage trigger. Excellent iron sights. I did have some feeding issues with the mag, I have TRG22 mags which work in it and fixed that.

I have to mess around with mag that came with it and fix problems. Do some searching on CRT mag problems, there are fixes. My rifle was a display in Cabellas and I'm sure that the mag was dropped and all sorts of stupid things done to it.

I really do like it and no regrets on the purchase.

Out of curiosity what ammo are you using for yours?

The two stage trigger was a change to be more reliable in the artic conditions.

If thats not a concern, wouldn't sweat having the normal single stage. Its still VERY reliable, including in winter time.

I always thought the 2-stage trigger was for tactile reasons when Heavy gloves/mittens were worn?
I could be totally wrong.

I grew up target shooting with iron sights and learned to shoot with 2 stage triggers. I love my Tikka Arctic, especially the sights and trigger. Even better is the LOP adjustment with the stock spacers.

I've also have a CZ 557 in 308 and a have handled a the Ruger range rifle and neither come close to the tikka.

Considering the Arctic model comes with the sights it does, heavy barrel, 10 round mags, 2 stage trigger and extended bolt handle they're pricey but not bad at $2700. North of 3 grand seems to be a bit much though.

Are they easy to de-grease including the bolt? A mauser action has a bolt that can be disassembled without tools so degreasing on the fly is easy with a little gasoline, naptha or diesel fuel and a rag.

I have the civilian version. The fact that Cabelas had them on sale for a couple weeks running (long after I got mine) has me worried that the Liberals are about to have another go at banning centre fire bolt actions with detachable magazines and I do believe that for sure Cabelas Canada is worried about it too. But if you're not paranoid about weird, inappropriate and unnecessary bans in Canada, you're kidding yourself.

Nope. Liberals are done.
Parliament is essentially shut down as they stonewall investigations. If they did open it back up to passore laws their crimes will be brought to light.
You are witnessing the start of a revolution
The only thing people need to learn is that the CPC is just as corrupt and complicit.
We don't have a right vs left problem.
We have an Establishment vs We the People problem.
Party politics is organized crime.

There were rumors that the new public safety minister (can't honestly keep their names straight anymore theres been so many juggled into there), anyway, rumor was the new minister of public safety promised poly they'd do more bans on the anniversary (Dec 6th). A lot of us are watching patiently to see how bad they try to cuck us all on their way out the door.

The Tikka Artic does not come with the set trigger.
