First Gen Rem 700 ML loads

Hey guys. This might have already been discussed but will put out a feeler. I have a first gen Rem 700 ML stainless with a bore bright as a mirror that I got brand new, could be almost 30 years ago. It has since gone through a few kits and now runs a Badger Ridge Industries 209 conversion kit. Anyone here use this firearm and what loads do you currently use? Thanks .

You're insane if you are going to run "loads you got off the internet" in any rifle.
Buy loading manuals
Work your way up
You are asking for trouble otherwise.
Every couple days their is a new thread "what loads should I use?"
It's insanity
 
Let me reiterate. I have been using this firearm for 30 yrs. I didn't say I was going to run any load. Just curious as to what loads have been working for anyone using this firearm. For interest sake. Thank you.
 
I have the same rifle, bought new about 27 or 28 years ago. I have always loaded 100 to 120 grains pyrodex RS.120 shooting best. For the last 5 or 6 years I have been shooting Hornady 250 grain sst. It works well on whitetail . I have only shot out 250 yards target hooting with good results.
 
I am using 100 gr of BH 209 and the 250 gr sst also. Groups are great but it seems to make a bit if trauma and spoils more meat than I would like. May try a different bullet but the sst's just shoot so good.
 
Hi there if any of these big bullets hit bone or meat they do terrible damage. A double lung shot or heart is my preferred shot. But it doesn’t always work that way. But we always have to try for it. Good luck keep your powder dry!
