The subject line says it all. I bought the little Charles Daly break-open single-shot with the short barrel and it comes with a removable Fixed (M) choke (and a choke key). Is it OK to put rifled lead slugs through the choke ... just leave it in all the time ...

Thanks!

Rifled slugs are made deliberately undersize, will rattle down a full choke bore.

Lol .... I guess that is why we will never be able to achieve any accuracy with a Cylinder or Improved Cylinder choke .... ??

Never said that. Just said rifled slugs are fine in a full choke bore.

Then maybe we need to talk about rifled slugs "squeezing" through the forcing cone and the choke.

Because most rifled slugs are definitely not undersize .... and they do not rattle down the bore.
They were designed to squeeze through whatever constriction they encounter ....

Beretta says improved cylinder slugs ok, modified choke steel shot ok (both 12ga)

Anything tighter no go on both

Anyone try rifled chokes?
