Taylors and Co TC73 Rifle 18" 9MM Taylor Tuned Lever Action

We just returned from SHOT and we were able to see these at the TC booth. They are really nice. We are expecting to receive some in the next few weeks. Good news is that they will eventually make a smooth thread protector so it will regain that classic look. The smooth protectors will not be available when the first rifles come but we wil order extras for later.

isnt most 9mm round nosed that have a pretty pointy rounded point and wont that point be resting against the primer of the next round in the magazine tube? is there any risk from that during loading or recoil?

The link in your first post no longer works. I checked Taylor's website and couldn't find anything on this rifle.

Does "Taylors and Co TC73" mean it is a Winchester 1873 replica?

Their website is going through some security upgrades outside the USA. Should work again soon. Yes, its a 73 replica. Their first firearm made entirely in house.

It's funny till you read about lever actions being banned in aussieland for being too quick to operate

$2700 for a lever action in 9mm, ooof
Ya it's pricey but the other 9mm lever gun (Tombstone) that's out there that uses the detachable mags is up there in price too unfortunately
The Henry is the most affordable one at the moment

Any chance they have some more budget friendly options on the horizon? other calibers too? .45 acp would be nice

Which Henry? You mean the Homesteader? That one is semi-auto not a lever action.

I'd love a lever action 9mm but almost 3k is too much.

Okay, I love Clay and Prophet River, but $2800.00 for a lever action 9mm rifle?

And yes we have bought a few guns from PR over the years. All excellent and top notch service and transactions!.......:)

But, Really?

No thanks......:)

And yes, the gunner's are going to say, don't buy one, well I won't.....:)

But if someone pays $2800.00 for this, they have more money than brains.....:(

Sorry PR. Do you guys really think this 9mm is worth $2800.00?.......:(

Ya I was talking about the homesteader
Yes it’s a semi but still the most affordable 9mm rifle we can have atm unless there is a different one I don’t know about

Ooooh that hit's the wallet hard. I own one of their 45-70's, so I know they make great rifles, but that price tag is insane. Are they trying to defeat any savings on ammo we'd get from switching over to 9mm? Seems so. I'll wait until they are collecting dust on the shelves and go on an extreme sale or rational price drop before going after one.

If they had sane pricing like $1,299-$1,899 and also were available in .45 ACP and .40 S&W, I'd buy all three. Until then, we'll all watch these age before our eyes, and poke major fun at anyone with more money than sense. No 9mm is worth 3 Grand when the tax and shipping hits. Which this is. A $3000 "cheap plinker". So far, the top firearms Oxymoron of 2025.

Yeah, these are not for everybody, but they are super nice and feel like a $2800 rifle. Too bad they weren't less $ and more for every budget. However, judging by the current waiting list there are lots of guys who think its not too much. I can say after handing one, thee fit and finish was fantastic and scaled to 9mm, they are one sweet little rifle. I'm going to save my pennies for one for sure after seeing one in person. We do sell a lot of lever guns these days at these prices and a lot higher too. Any kind of up graded Winchester seems to be in this range now and we can't keep BHA in stock at 5k it seems .
One final note on these 9mm rifles, it is a 'real' case hardened, not chemical. Nothing wrong with chemical CC but they really didn't spare any expense on these. Two of the three they had at SHOT even had really nice walnut.

If they were sub 2k everybody and their dog would own one like a Winchester 94. On a side note, how do they compare to a Winchester 1873 competition?
