I am looking for someone to come take the coyotes after I have shot them. there is a farm that i am helping deal with a coyote problem. I can skin them for you or you can skin them yourself. Legally the pelts cannot be wasted and I have no desire to keep them. please reach out if you are interested. This is farm is located in the phelpston area

Here in BC pelts cant be wasted either, but for us that only means the pelt needs to be taken to your residence, what you do with it from there is up to you, up to and including tossing it straight into the dumpster.

I hope you can find someone who will take them, but if you can't it might be worth re-checking your regs to see what exactly they mean when they say they can't be wasted.

On the other hand if a guy had a bunch of tote meet, and a bit of equipment, you could make the mother in law a batch of sausages as a Xmas present.

What does “ not going to waste” exactly mean?

If you use the dead coyote as say…bait and leave it in the field/bush… Does that mean the animal pelt included is not wasted?

Seems this could be a game of words…

Where are you getting this information?
From the regulations synopsis, Its Unlawful section.

44. To kill wildlife (with the exception of a fur bearing animal other than a Black Bear) and fail to remove from the carcass the edible portions (see definitions section) to the person’s normal dwelling place or to a meat cutter or the owner or operator of a cold storage plant. A person who kills wildlife is exempted from the requirement to remove the edible portions if that person transfers possession of the wildlife to a recipient who complies with the requirement. Of a furbearing animal other than a Black Bear, the hide and/or edible portions must be removed to the person’s normal dwelling place or to a meat cutter, the owner or operator of a cold storage plant or to a taxidermist, tanner or a fur trader. A person who kills a furbearing animal is exempted from the requirement to remove the hide if that person transfers possession of the wildlife to another person who complies with the requirement.

"Of a furbearing animal other than a Black Bear, the hide and/or edible portions must be removed to the person’s normal dwelling place..."

I am unaware of a law that puts any limitations on what I can do with that hide once its at my house (other than selling, which I need to pay a royalty fee if I do that IIRC.)

The regs are likely more clear on what is required.

Yea, one would need to go thru the regs with fine toothed comb and study every paragraph and even every word very carefully and go from there. In my experience, regs are often a game of words and open to wild interpretation…not always but often enough.
