I have owned B/C flip caps for years and have yet to have any fall apart.
Of course your mileage is different than mine.
But, to suggest buying several sets is good advice.
You can likely buy five sets for the price of one set of aluma flip caps ...enough for four other rifle/scope set ups.
A great pro tip.
Orderd some Monstrum brand caps from Amazon. Good reviews lifetime warranty. Any one use them. $25 for a pair. Doesn't look like a high tech piece of equipment
As 3D printed was mentioned above, I will look for a good design and file and print myself a pair. Sounds like a fun little project.
Got them today. They fit snug on the Bushnell trs-25. They have a steel hinge pin. Snap shut and snap open. Not much else to report. Plastic is ok. They dont feel flimsyNever heard of them so I went and looked, expecting them to be kind of crap but I watched the video and am intrigued enough I will order a pair to try out as I am doing an Amazon order anyway and the cost is very reasonable. Be sure to let us know when yours show up!
I use the butler creek caps. Don’t bother with their size charts. You need to find for yourself what fits right enough to stay put. They work fine for me. You could put a bikini cover on and remove it when it’s time to shoot if you hate the caps I suppose.
Right to the source, made in Canada:

You can also find some of them on Amazon.
I can't find the ####### guy? Can you send a link? I need caps for my Shv 56For all the leupolds the best are the alumin covers. No other option IMO.
Teneabreax for the rest, if they make them. Not all scope models covers. If you research a bit, you can find covers by diameter that should fit scopes not listed. A bit time consuming, but works.
The only other option worth mentioning that works are the 3D printed ones. Guy on gu n po st makes and sells them. I have 2 sets. They are okay, work well, snap open and closed well. Great magnets. Just give a bit more of a tunnel vision when using them, but better than nothing.
The butler creek I quit using years back, as they just plain suck. The vortex ones are okay, but who wants to have the Vtx symbol on a different brand of scope anyways. Looked cheesy on my NF before I went tenabreax covers for it.
