Nice work. Is Mr. Dawe British trained or perhaps one of a small number this side of the pond who know their business with fine doubles?
Guns are meant to be used not greased and stored for decades and I'd rather shoot those model 21's than some Flemington 870 or lemon hundred but hey, that's just me...Merry Christmas to all you shotgunners out there and all the best in 2025
May you fill your collections with vintage remingtons LOL That one is for you SpankYes I still own three model 21's all were my grandfathers two were his skeet guns and will die with me Been all greased for long term storage and put away for must be 35 years now
Thanks. Good to know.Nope. Newfoundland born and bred. Self taught largely but he's one of only a handful of smiths in the country I would trust with any of my guns.
Hey this looks likes my perfect Christmas Card, certainly checks all the right boxes !!The best of the Christmas season to all, but especially to those who devote time and resources to preserving the knowledge and artifacts of the past. Particularly in these turbulent times, it has never been more true that one needs to know where we've been in order to know where we're going.

No kidding! I don't even own an over-under any more!Oh Spank! What did you get yourself into?? Its an addiction, I tell you….
True shotgunners have all the bases covered with at least( bare minimum) one pump, one semi, one over/under and finally a SXS! Preferably multiples of every action in multiple flavours and different size shells too boot.’Happy new year everyone!!! You can never have too manyNo kidding! Heck we are even down to just one Perazzi in the household now too, my wife's TM1.True shotgunners have all the bases covered with at least( bare minimum) one pump, one semi, one over/under and finally a SXS! Guilty multiple times over although I'm lacking a double in 28ga so for now my a400 28 does all duties. However I hate shooting it at the range. The guys I shoot with stare at my factory fresh AA empty hulls like a rabid dingo thats about to the baby. Excuse enough to need a double no matter what the wife saysTrue shotgunners have all the bases covered with at least( bare minimum) one pump, one semi, one over/under and finally a SXS! I definitely don't qualify any longer...no longer have any pumps or overunders. Two semis, two singles and 4 side by sides is what I'm down to nowadays....I'm hoping that one pump, one semi, one O/U and 25 SxS qualifies me. The newest is from 2003 (O/U) then pump (1978), then semi (1962) then they are all pre WWII SxS back to about 1880. Gauges 12 through 28.
I’m quire confident a grandfathered pass/clause is withstanding!I'm hoping that one pump, one semi, one O/U and 25 SxS qualifies me. The newest is from 2003 (O/U) then pump (1978), then semi (1962) then they are all pre WWII SxS back to about 1880. Gauges 12 through 28.
